The Place I Feel Most Comfortable
There’s nothing like being able to lay back and enjoy watching television after a long day. My most comfortable place, as well as many others, is the living room. It provides a relaxing, pleasant feeling as I am able to lie down on the couch, study, read a book, watch television, and more. Anytime I feel irritated or annoyed, the living room is the best spot to comfort me because of its quietness and calmness. It provides me with a huge variety of things to do and could placate me during a bad day. I am able to do many things in a living room. It provides a comfortable area to study, watch television, read books, and almost anything that I want to do in my home. I am not able to do all of these tasks in any other place besides the living room. There’s nothing like being able to sit back after a long day to enjoy the amenity that relaxing on a couch provides you. It helps me relieve any stress or pacify me during a bad day, and is a more efficient room than resting in a bedroom. I am able to relax and enjoy doing something in the peaceful living room. I do not have to care about what other people think, I can put myself in comfortable positions that I can’t in other places, and more. This is a place where I am able to do anything that I would like to.
The human environment interaction has changed tremendously from the ancient times to today. Currently, we use the environment to create buildings and many entertainment places. We use it for various reasons such as farming, building roads, recreation centers and many more. However, in the ancient times, they didn’t use the environment for many different reasons. They built farms, shelter, fires, and a few more reasons. The ancient people mainly used the environment for necessities, not for entertainment. They also built a few religious related buildings such as the Egyptian Pyramids and Greek statues.

Physical environment helped with the development of early civilization in Mesopotamia, Egypt, and the Indus Valley by helping societies to flourish. Excerpt from the story of Gilgamesh states how the people of Sumer depend on the grain that they grow. The environment provides Sumer their grain thus allowing them to feed themselves and continuing to grow. The increase in population allows the society to flourish. One could say that document 1 is unreliable because it only describes how Sumer depends on grain. It does not state if their population flourishes or not due to the grain. An additional…

Jared Diamond’s book Guns, Germs, and Steel discusses the topic of the ancient and current civilizations with an eye-opening argument. Diamond’s main argument is that civilizations developed based on the environment and not because of individual humans. In this book he summarized a history of the last 13,000 years in civilization. Although his points were scattered he makes it clear that he believes strongly in environmental determinism, which is the belief that physical environment predisposes human social development and surrounding civilizations.…

The place I feel content isn’t the place I ever expected it to be. The very place I think of when I think to where I feel perfectly content is a fire pit behind my house. In my opinion it is in the perfect location. It is surrounded by trees and the pit is made of stones that were found in the woods. There are 3 benches surrounding it that sit perfectly into the earth around them. It looks like a picture cut out from a magazine. I could sit there for literally hours.…
