For starters, they did not collect the clothes that Lizzie had been wearing while present at the crime scene. This could have been helpful in the trial to persecute Lizzie if they had taken it and found traces of blood on it. Instead, Lizzie had kept the dress and later burned it, destroying any evidence that may have been on it. Investigators also failed to question people who were close with Lizzie (asides from her sister who was of no help). By questioning those close to her, investigators could have gained information about what Lizzie’s home life was like and if she had any hidden anger directed towards either of her…
There are many assumptions about how killed and JonBen`et and why. But If I had to pick a guilty party base on the facts of the case I would conclude that the murders would be the Father John and the mother Patricia. The author Biography (2017) highlights some key facts of physical evidence that point to the father and mother. The First factual piece of evidence is the Ransom note that was written. Handwriting experts tested the father and the mother, and the mother’s test proved inconclusive. Consequently, a practice note was also found in the home. Secondly, the duct tapes that was placed over JonBen`et mouth contained fabric from the mother’s clothes. The Third piece of evidence is the coroner report. The coroner report states that JonBen`et died of blunt force trauma to the head and then she was strangled.…
Some of the theories have been investigated and all signs point to the family. When the bolder police arrived to the home of the ramseys they saw them disappear into the basement. Then later when the police were asking questions they proceeded to ask if anything was missing or out of place in their home, and they told the family to go look around the house and see if anything was. The first thing John benet did was go straight to the basement out of all places, and then carried his baby girl upstairs, and took off the duct tape from her mouth. This caused tampering with the evidence and made the evatigation impossible to figure out who was the killer. The police believed that the parents did it or were covering for someone who did. All the evidence that was credible pointed to their family because it was all in the home and left there after the murder. As for the bizarre ransom note that was three pages long and written on Patsy’s notepad; whose handwriting matched the one on the ransoms note. Who would have the time to write an intricate note and practice it before hand? It made it seem like the killer was someone who cared and was upset about her death. Another theory was that night she was killed Jonbenet actually wet her bed and went to go explain to her parents what happened and her mom woke up screaming at her six year old daughter and struck her in the head with a flashlight. This would have…
Jonbenet Ramsey was killed in the basement of her own home. Investigators have come to the conclusion that Jon Benet was killed by a hit to the head by a flashlight. By inexperienced detectives her death was filed that she was strangled to death. The murder was disguised as if a different crime had been committed. The killer disguised it as if someone came in and tied her up and then decided to cover it up. investigators realized it was all a cover up to the actual way Jon Benet was killed. The crime was committed by someone inside the home. But because of investigators relying too much on DNA, there is no evidence that necessarily points to patsy, John, nor Burke.…
Others might believe that Sydelle Pulaski is the murderer, but she is not. Sydelle is not the murderer because whenever Angela Wexler had her bridal shower, the 3rd bomb went off. Sydelle was in the hospital when the bomb went off. (page 98) This shows that Sydelle is not the murderer because Sydelle…
Which theses officers investigate postal crimes not murder. Knox says she was then bullied by the police. while being interrogated she says she did go do back to her house in the middle of the night a watched from the other room as one of her coworkers stabbed her friend. Why she lied I don’t know but when she did it made it seem like she killed her friend so they arrested her and her boyfriend on murder. The main part of the investigation is about to go down. The turning part in the case is when the appeals come in the first deny her and him because they believed they did it. Both of them were sentenced to 25 years. Two weeks later the DNA came back and it didn’t belong two Amanda or sollecto. The evidence was pointed at Rudy guede a friend of the people who lived under them. He was wanted for many burglaries in the apartment. He was immediately arrested in Germany but said he didn’t kill her. And also said Amanda and her boyfriend wasn't involved. After this he was sentenced to 30 years in prison. In 2008 Knox was acquitted of murder where she became a national sensation. From this case DNA has taken a whole new course and the technology has been approved so these types of things don’t happen…
Lizzie did say that she was downstairs the whole time. Thus proving that she was lying.…
Arthur Miller’s character from The Crucible, Abigail Williams, was a beautiful girl who had a hold on people’s lives. She lied to protect herself and caused chaos for everyone in the town of Salem because all of the right people believed her. History repeats itself, and what Abigail has caused and done has been done many times. During our existence, Adolf Hitler and Joseph McCarthy repeated the same sort of chaos as Abigail Williams had done.…
So the topic is that Lizzie Borden is guilty of killing her parents. In some cases they said that she isn't guilty but in my case she is. The reason being is that she was the only person that would have had a grudge against her parents, and her sister was out of town of the time of their deaths, so even though there was a rumor of a mysterious man lurking around the Gorden’s house at the times of death there is not enough facts that it is actually true. The evidence that i collected clearly states that she burnt a dress that was supposedly had a blood/paint spot on it. Which makes me believe that she is trying to hide something because she had others ways of getting rid of the old dress, like throwing it in the trash or giving it to the lower class.…
In the texts Night, written by Dr.Elie Wiesel, “My Ethics My Code”, written by Rachel Scott, and “Give”, by Anne Frank, the three stories all share an significant common message. The central message the three stories show is the theme of companionship, helping the unfortunate and standing up for other to survive and live. The three authors, Dr.Elie Wiesel, Rachel Scott, and Anne Frank all have a common belief of being a witness and not a bystander and ignore the terrible things. “People will never know how far a little kindness can go” (My Ethics, My Codes of Life)…
While reading The Scarlet Letter book I had a little trouble with understanding the words and how it was used back in the days because they have different meanings to it now. The Scarlet letter brought out many morals to me along with the themes that I was given to explain. If I would have to make up a theme or moral of the story, is not to lie because the more you hold in the lie the deeper the guilt grows you it will make you into a different person, it will make you become something you don't want to become it will make you turn into something terrible that honestly you would not want to become.…
Andrew was found first by 32 year old, Lizzie Borden, the youngest of his two daughters. He was found lying to on the couch in the downstairs sitting room where he takes his routined naps. During the time of the murders Lizzie Borden and, maid Bridget Sullivan, better known as “Maggie” by the family, were recorded to be at the Fall River's home. It was reported that when Lizzie called for Bridget after finding her father's body that she did not…
In "Spunk" by Zora Neale Hurston, the main character Joe Kanty's death is the tool used to shape the characters in her story. Following Joe's murder, the characters experience different forms of guilt, representing Hurston's belief that everyone in our world has a conscience. As the characters develop a guilty conscience, they realize just that. Bullies, cheaters, and murderers are all susceptible to the feelings of a guilty conscience as illustrated in "Spunk".…
The seventh book of Barbara Kingsolver's The Poisonwood Bible, The Eyes in the Trees, is narrated posthumously by the youngest Price daughter, Ruth May. This last section of the novel provides closure, both for the reader and for Ruth May's mother, Orleanna. In each of Orleanna's narratives, she expresses the massive amount of guilt that she feels about what happened to her family during their mission trip and about America's political interference in the Congo. In The Eyes in the Trees, Orleanna's last born encourages her to "walk forward into the light," (543) and forgive herself for what happened in the past.…
In William Shakespeare’s Macbeth, a character that is portrayed as evil is Lady Macbeth. Because of her controlling nature and immense want for masculinity most readers see her as evil. She is not evil because she does not commit murders herself and she also displays feelings of remorse and guilt towards the end of the play. Lady Macbeth is not truly evil because the evil she portrays is a facade; initially Lady Macbeth calls upon evil spirits because she wants to be evil then guilt causes her to kill herself.…
