The world has been through drastic changes overtime. In Zinn's article, he discusses how people obey the law. Civil disobedience is the active, professed refusal to obey certain laws, demands, or commands of a government, or of an occupying international power, as a form of peaceful protest. He states that the problem is not civil disobedience, but it is civil obedience.1 Zinn includes how not only is this happening today, but civil obedience has been an uprising since historical times.
Civil disobedience has shown more since the 20th century until now, but civil obedience is the problem stands in the way because it is more of an upcoming. People are obedient all over the world, which causes millions of people to be killed, diseases, and war.2 Disobeying the government as a peaceful protest would not be such a bad idea, as less people may be harmed, and wars may not become such a problems.
People submit to injustice because they do not recognize it as injustice and because they have no alternative form of fight because they may be punished for their actions. People have been taught to obey the laws that are established. Zinn gives examples of how civil disobedience takes in toll in other countries beside America. One example is Nazi Germany. The problem there was obedience, that the people obeyed Hitler, when they should have challenged and resisted him.3
The law is the Bill of Rights, something described as being protective of us.4 But law does not bring order. Obeying the law, which is forced upon us, will either lead to injustice or another rebellion. People live under the rules, but acting towards them in a disapproving manner may cause of change or lead to something more serious. It shows dignity and respect.
Civil disobedience can be forced upon in the world today. In order to make this happen, society has to make a decision of coming together. It is a sense of force and wealth.5 Looking back at the
