Trump wants to end DACA. I think that he shouldn’t end DACA.The DACA program allows undocumented young adults work in the country legally. DACA was an Obama-era program. “The DACA program, announced by President Obama in June, 2012, provided recipients with protection from deportation for two years, which could be renewed, and allowed them to work(Alvarez, 3). I think that Trump is scared of undocumented people and what they could become. If they are continued allowance in the U.S. Immigration Services and U.S. Citizenship gave work to thousands of undocumented immigrants giving them the ability to work, to make something of themselves. The executive branch has legal authority to implement DACA. More than 100 law professors signed a letter…

Babies born to illegal alien mothers within U.S. borders are called anchor babies because under the 1965 immigration Act, they act as an anchor that pulls the illegal alien mother and eventually a host of other relatives into permanent U.S. residency. Jackpot babies are another term. The 14th Amendment was ratified in 1868 to protect the rights of native-born Black Americans, whose rights were being denied as recently-freed slaves. In 1866, Senator Jacob Howard clearly spelled out the intent of the 14th Amendment by writing:…
First, I wanted to start by stating that not only was your post compelling, but it was also well researched. Secondly, I agree with you that the idea of amending the 14th amendment, to exclude children born in the United States (U.S.), by undocumented immigrants would be absolutely horrific. In addition, I also agree with your statement that children born in the United States, whose parents are illegal immigrants should not be punished just because their parents are not U.S. citizens. It is tragic that so many people are blinded by the stereotypes of illegal immigrants that some U.S. citation will speak ill of infants born by undocumented immigrants. A survey was taken in 2011 which showed only 57% of American citizens wanted to keep the…
There are currently an estimated 2.1 million undocumented children in the United States who could potentially qualify for legal status under this Act. Others will argue that this Act is a military tactic due to the 70,000 undocumented students that will not have the English speaking level to reach a higher education. People voice concerns as it relates to the perceived military tactic as it does not include any financial stability, healthcare or housing, where the requirements for the DREAM Act requires two (2) years of service the military is an eight (8) year contract thereby it contradicts the Act goal of requiring 2 years to make someone a permanent resident and eventually a citizen.…

Many people feel it’s not fair that these "illegals" are receiving federal and state benefits that they don't deserve. When this child is born, the child automatically receives many benefits if he/she is an anchor baby. Their parent is illegal and cannot work and so they apply for food stamps and many other governmental programs. These anchor babies are a burden on schools, hospitals, taxpayers, and so on. "If there's abuse in the system where , pregnant women are coming in to have babies simply because they can do it, then there ought to be greater enforcement," Said President Bush "That's [the] legitimate side of this. Better enforcement so that you don't have these, you know, 'anchor babies,' as they're described, coming into the country."…

Among several major acts that marked a historic change in terms of immigrant policy issues, the Immigration Reform and Control Act approved by Congress in 1986 is the only one solely devoted to illegal immigration.…
To innocent people is accused unjustly of they are criminals but it is not true and the justice decided sent to this people to our countries. ”As a result , immigrants were perceived as potential threats to national security.” It for me is ironic and don't be a cause to the deportation the justice should look for more proof to judge to someone and not accuse without a relevant motive. The deportation should be take like a crime and no take the devotion of sent to the people to our countries.…
Pregnant women and children who are within five years of obtaining a certain legal status will be considered for Medicaid and CHIP program. However, illegal immigrants are not eligible for any form of health insurance plan. Most of the uninsured population is made up of the young and healthy. It could have been cheap to insure the young and the healthy. In that regard the uninsured immigrant population is made of the young and the healthy. In that manner health insurance premiums could be lowered and thus benefit everyone who is covered under the provision of the Affordable Care Act (Capps, 2014; Medicaid, 2015).…
The Dream Act bill passed the House but later was denied by the Senate, according to the article ‘Immigration: A Dream Deferred” from the New York Times Upfront magazine written by Julia Preston. Many illegal immigrants are “coming out” as illegal trying to get the Senate to change their minds but I think we should just leave it as it is.…
The night Jennings was left out in a foster home, his mother swore to come back for him. But to Jennings dismay, he had to get used to being in foster homes for a while. He couldn’t have thought of being there and he couldn’t have thought that love only meant being alone, but his 8-year old mind didn’t know that. He didn’t know that he was going to jump from foster home to foster home. He didn’t know he would stay there until he concluded what love was to him on his own. Jennings Michael Burch was in the foster homes because his mother didn’t have the right necessities and the foster homes didn’t either. Jennings situation is not uncommon, but it can’t happen all the time. In the year of 2014, over 650,000 children spent their time in a U.S.…
According to the Cambridge dictionary, adoption is “the act of taking another person's child legally into your family to raise as your own child.” It quickly became a very popular thing to do in the mid-1900s. Since then, adoption has been a very common topic of conversation, more so of argument. Similar to a myriad of other controversial topics, people have their own opinions; many people are actually against adoption and could sit down and write a whole list of reasons why adopting a child is a terrible idea. However, many of those people never take into account all of the positives that come with adopting a child. Adoption is an amazing, indescribable act that I look forward to being a part of in the future. Just like almost everything in this imperfect world, adoption has its cons. As well, adoption has its pros; I believe that the more people partake in it, the better we can make the lives of children in need.…
