The Pros And Cons Of Global Warming
Global warming is the term used to describe a gradual increase in the average temperature of the earth’s atmosphere and its oceans. The idea of Global warning has been around for years and it is believed that human actions is the catalyst to the rise of the temperature of the earth but recent studies and inaccurate information have caused controversy. Scientist don’t agree whether global warming is real or not, every day we are shown new evidence of that contradicts another evidence. Some scientist say that the temperature is rising but other evidence shows that earth’s temperature has been flat and constant for the last 17 years. A lot of people question themselves: How can we be experiencing global warming if there’s no actual “global warming?”
Al Gore, an environmentalist and politician predicted that all of the Arctic ice would be gone by 2013, yet we are in 2016 and according to townhall.com, Artic ice is up 50% since 2012. Global warming is usually blamed on human actions, such as burning fossil fuels and deforestation. I know firsthand that human’s actions do hurt the atmosphere of the earth and you can see the negative results of all the factories but we also have to look at the other side of the story, the population has grown is size over the years. According to Worldometers.com, during the 20th century alone, the population in the world has grown from 1.65 billion to 6 billion. More people require more resources and the fact that more cities are being build can be seen like if the temperature is rising. In my opinion, I believe that global warming is a topic that must be taken seriously. The government has put a lot of resources and time into this topic but I do not believe that they have been the best resources. I think that if we want the best models and the most accurate answers about global warming then we have to devout the best resources.
