The second reason the United States people are against immigration reform is terrorism.
We are unfortunately not a country free of terrorism anymore. On September eleventh 2001 we were attacked by planes killing millions in our once peaceful country. Today we still feel the pain that the terrorist left that day and will for years to come. Due to this America feels strongly about terrorism and live in fear each day. The American people are unforgiving and unaccepted of people from different countries due to terrorism. This may not be the right thing for the United States to be so unforgivable but trying to keep our country safe is a
necessity. The third reason people do not agree with the immigration reform is fear. We the people live in fear every day. Many items contribute to this excruciating fear such as disease, crimes and drugs. Diseases are easily contracted and passed from one person to another. Some immigrants may bring diseases that they are immune to in their county that would wipe out half of our population. There are even diseases that have not been heard of in years just attacking people all over our country. We also live in fear due to crimes made by the immigrants that come to our home. Immigrants have been found in many cases of rape, murder and theft in our country. People should not have to live in fear of their lives when you are the one who at home. Drugs introduce a major concern of the people of the United States. Drug lords and sellers rule our streets where children play, walk and learn. Could you imagine your child being buried because they were in the wrong place at the wrong time? Unfortunately this is the reality that many parents and family members have to go through. Although, Americans may support the immigration reform, there is a large group of the American population that does not support the immigration reform. Immigration may not always be something to be afraid, however our neighboring countries are being attacked. Everyday immigrants come to the United States for the reason we may never know. Is the safety of the nation something that we are willing to risk?
