Immigration reform is used regarding the change of an immigration policy; it is usually focused on both legal and illegal aliens. People migrate for safety, tourism, and better opportunities. Immigration is one of the combined social processes and as a connected part of the social system. It is the society that keeps a social setting to migration and creates a socially conditioned environment for migrants. The United States of America is known for its acceptance of immigrants. Immigrants’ especially undocumented ones do most labor jobs for many companies and homes with little pay to be able to cater for their families. “And undocumented immigrants who desperately want to embrace those responsibilities see little option but to remain in the shadows or risk their families being torn apart” (Obama, 2014, p.1). It benefits the government which collects taxes but will never have to pay them social security, better life for immigrants and their descendants, and they are sometimes treated unfairly (no respect). Immigrants are an advantage to the government but there are also opposing comments in conflict theory about migrants. An example is the issue of crime and deviance because of different cultures. Society is made up of varieties of inequality as known in conflict theory and immigration has been opposed in several ways. Immigrant may not understand the American language or culture. In that period people use gestures and facial expression to communicate. Immigrants also face racial abuses in town, at work and even at school. Others also think many immigrants in the country will make America loose its culture and adopt others. There are also some conflicting issues when it comes to the government and immigration, the government thinks that immigrants help to improve economic stability of the country.
