The police are an organization dedicated to enforce and protect the law. The force is sworn under oath and the members sworn in must respect and live by it. Personnel accepted to do this job are carefully chosen through many different tests to prove their good ethics. In order to perform that job the personnel must have good ethical values in accordance to their society and laws. The police forces are public servants which obligates them to behave in certain manner and to enforce the law rightfully in society’s and law’s eyes. This male police officer likes younger girls and starts talking to a 13 years old girl. He insinuates to the girl some sexual comments and tells her that he wants to meet her. He knows that it is morally wrong amongst society and illegal, but in his mind frame he might think that he has enough power to avoid the consequences he might face for doing the act. This encourages him more to talk to the girl, but on the other end the girl is another police officer that is trying to catch pedophiles. Then as he was reporting for duty he gets arrested by the FBI. The police officer knew that what he was doing was wrong, but he did not expected to get caught. The officer was taken away in handcuffs and his case is covered on the evening news. He was under oath and even so he broke the law. The law enforcer became the law breaker. Typically they would know what would be right or wrong through legal moralism. Legal moralism is basic moral or ethical issues protected by the law given to society acceptance of such behaviors. Given this reason sociopaths or psychopaths do know what is right or wrong. I hope that medicine finds out better solutions for some illness as such, but I do not excuse people of significant crimes through illness or insanity as it is claimed. Maybe through different tests finding out if they could potentially grow up to be ill that
