Making Providence Canyon a national park is unacceptable for the following reasons, it could put the parks wildlife in harms way, because the people that visit may throw trash down, and the animals may consume it or become tangled in it,both of these tragedies could cause serious injuries to the more larger species of animals, deer, elk, moose, and bear are some examples of the large animals that are not so lucky. This tragedy does not just happen to large animals it happens to small animals as well
some of the small creatures that come into play are fish, birds ,squirrels, and all sorts of tiny wildlife. When you litter it does not only cause harm to the wildlife, it affects the canyons´ natural resources as well. A way it may affect the natural resources is when trash is thrown onto the ground, and sets there over long periods of time it eventually decays which puts bad nutrients in the soil, then the vegetation will take in the bad nutrients which may have a harmful effect to the vegetation, and without vegetation humans will have very little oxygen to survive on
When making Providence Canyon a national park there was a great amount of digging which means removing dirt from a certain area. Overtime the wind, water, and people will erode the dirt even more, in conclusion this could cause a dramatic increase on the number of natural disasters that occur inside the canyons´ boundaries. Earthquakes, landslides, and sinkholes are all examples of the kind of natural disasters that can strike anywhere, and cause madness that may have dangerous consequences. All of the disasters that were identified can cause tremendous amounts of damage, and can take as many as one thousand lives in a small amount of time.
Providence Canyon has many years of history behind it, and the idea of transforming it into a national park could erase every little piece of history that the canyon contains. This could happen because of all the activity that would be going on as people from all over the world visit Providence Canyon. There would be cars ,and trucks pounding the roads down until their nothing, little kids digging, and breaking the walls of the canyon, and many more tragic events that could damage the history of Providence Canyon.
To prevent Providence Canyon from becoming a national park I believe the nation should leave the ancient piece of history the way it was before it was created.
