of control because of the push factors, Muslims move because they want out of their bad political system, and unequal gender equality. It is very important that the citizens of the United States understand the importance of immigration. The United States is around the begining of 4, end of 3 in the Demographic transition model, the CBR is declining very slowly, but staying relatively the same. That means a lot of the population is coming from immigrants. There is a lot of illegal immigrants and the country needs to find a solution. If the country does not find one, it could lead to overpopulation and it could destroy the country’s resources. The pull factors to the United States are it’s economy, the freedom every citizen gets, and the equal gender laws.
For example, Our economy is not the best, but it is still functioning and many people still need to reach a good economy. People are moving because they want a better lifestyle, they want freedom. The leaders of a country should not have the power to stop immigrants from moving, considering a person should be able to live wherever they like. Since people should have to the right to move, the government should not use a number to control the amount of immigrants allowed. That number will not prevent Another pull factor is the fact that women are working and are more equal to men in the United States. Other countries do not allow women to work, making people want to move to the United States. Since so many people want to move to the United States, there needs to be a solution so the U.S.A does not become overpopulated and is unable to keep the country running …show more content…
efficiently There are also many push factors that are making people want to move out of there countries. For example, people want to leave their harsh laws, and horrible leaders. Some people have their lives threatened and are forced to move, also know as forced migration. These people leave to find somewhere else to live safety, and if they are not allowed in, then they are most likely to sneak across the border and become an illegal immigrant. It would do the United States more damage to put a limit on the number of people allowed to enter, because the people who are forced will try to get in, for the fear of their life. The push factors will make someone move and a person telling them they are not allowed to enter will not make a difference. The United States needs to fix these problems, and decrease the amount of illegal immigrants. According to Rand Paul, He does not support amnesty, but rather a legal immigration process. He states he would first secure our border immediately. He would create a “Trust but Verify” amendment, which requires congress to write and enforce a border security blueprint. He would also put pressure on the department of homeland security to finally follow through on the broken promise of a secure border and an effective visa tracking system. This would limit illegal immigration, and allow more legal immigrants from Latin America. A pull factor would be that it’s easier to become a citizen, however it would be harder for illegal immigrants to come. The intervening obstacle would be the protected border, and the visa tracking system. Rand Paul’s plan would help immigrants who need a place to go, and would decrease the number of illegal immigrants.
However, it may lead to disputes about the law being racist to other beliefs. In that case, the people would see that it’s not just targeted toward a specific he religion or belief, the system would work for any immigrant. It would allow more people to become citizens, and less people sneaking across the borders.
For a person to have to resort to illegal immigration to survive, they would go through plenty of intervening obstacles. Those obstacles may be crossing the desert, sneaking on a plane, stealing for money, and law prohibiting them to enter would be the least of their worries. The United States needs to realize that if a person needs help, they will not stop if they truly need it. Rand Paul’s plan would both allow more citizens to enter, and less resorting to illegal immigration. It is better to have more legal immigrants, then to have more illegal immigrants who are able to disguise themselves.
After Rand Paul’s plan is enforced then the developing countries need to work together to figure out the problem, and work together to fix it. For example, if it is the leader of the country causing people to flee, then help start a revolution and allow them to gain independence. If their countries are fixed, then there will be no reason for them to move to the developed
countries.
In conclusion, the citizens of America need to realize the importance of the immigrants, and help enforce Rand Paul’s plan. The plan would help the immigrants, leading to less illegal immigrants, and once the immigrants are safe, the United States could find the problem leading to these people immigrating. Then once the problem is fixed, the number of immigrants migrating will be much lower, as they will have no reason to want to move.
