I had grown close to one of my classmates, who coincidentally also knew a lot about physics. We spent considerable amounts of time discussing the Higgs boson and quark-gluon plasma. As abstract as these ideas are to many people, I enjoy them. Learning these new concepts just showed me how amazing this world is. I have always had a passion for intellectually challenging myself, and now is not the time to stray from my past.
