The Pros And Cons Of Public Dog Parks
I think that public dog parks should be built in the city. One reason why is that it gives the dog a chance to get exercise. Another reason why is that it will help dogs to not get loose from their owner and get the owner or even him or herself in trouble. It also would benifit the owner by giving them an opportunity to be social and meet new people. Every dog needs some kind of excercise, whether it be going on a run with the owner, playing fetch, or play fighting with another dog. The dog can do any of these activities at a local dog park. The article says, "According to the ASPCA, dogs that don't get excercise can act out by barking and destroying things at home." So in other words, if the dog doesn't get any exercise and is stuck in
the house all day then they will give the owner problems. That will lead to the owner being stressed out and they possibly might get rid of the dog. Sometimes, dogs get loose or run away from their owners and cause trouble while they are out. They could bite somebody, destroy somebodys trash, end up getting in a fight with somebody elses dog, or even get ran over by a moving car. Nobody wants to get a call and hear that their dog is in the pound or that they just got ran over. Everybody wants to have a good obidient dog. If the owner takes his dog to a dog park, then it will keep the dog busy and keep them from getting in trouble. Last, it would give the owner a chance to get out and meet new people. Without a dog park people just wake up, go to work, maybe run some errands, then go back home. Having a dog park nearby gives the owner something new to do and experience. They could go out and socialize and meet new people and possibly even make some fun plans with them. Who knows, they might even meet their new girlfriend or boyfriend there. In conclusion, my opinion is that dog parks should be built in cities. The dogs can get out and excercise. It will keep them from getting in trouble.
