When the Industrial Revolution began,it sparked some many differences to our society today. For example, agriculture was one of the major things that change. But before the industrial revolution, farmers just get their crops from the seeds they grow.
After the Industrial Revolution started, many people used the “Spinning Jenny” by James Hargreaves, and the “Flying Shuttle” by John Kay.Few years later, two inventors created two inventions that changed the way of transportation.James Watt invented the steam engine so machines won’t be power by water anymore. Then there is Robert Fulton who is a US Inventor who invented the first practical steamboat called “The Clermont”Now even though we’re talking about the positive things about the industrial revolution, the sanitation or (pollination) and health were the downside of the revolution. The reason why is these industries used steam to power the machines. But people didn’t know the pollution from the factories would be dangerous for their
health. In case you don’t know, people had to move from the rural area to the urban cities,in the form of “Urbanization”.Then comes the bad part, you see people had a tough time to get money for food. Also not only that, but the main thing that made people mad was the child labor.Because ,these children who were young, work in sweatshops and factories working for 12-14 hrs a day and getting low wages or none. Also parts of their body, and even their lives were lost. The working conditions were horrible and the workers had low wages as well. Finally, the children had lung problems because of the fibers in the factories.Luckily, the Parliament had enforce the “1883 Factory Act”,it says: “No Child Worker Under Nine Years of Age” and more. Finally comes the Economic Philosophies and the Class Structures of the Industrial Revolution. Of course the on top of the class structure is the upper class, because they had wealthy industries and business.Next is the middle class and they had monthly and yearly salaries than the hourly wages. There was the also the Lower Middle Class and the Working Class as well. Also when I meant “Working Class”, I mean this class was when the people were poor and had no money so they had to work for money.Lastly, there was also philosophy in economic called “Laissez-Faire Economics”,it begun by Adam Smith stated the business and economy will run without, interference with the government during the time.
To wrap everything up,lets look back and review the main point of the 3 topics.First was the agriculture and textiles improvements and changes in the Industrial Revolution. Then came the downside with the child labor and working conditions, also the urbanization of people who lived in rural areas. Finally was simply just the class structure from Upper Class to Working Class and one of the economic philosophies. In conclusion all of this had people happy and sad at the same time, but mostly majority was positive during the time.
