The Pros And Cons Of The Musculoskeletal System
Once signals from the brain initiate a movement, motor neurons coupled to individual muscle fibers link the pathways of the musculoskeletal system. Action potentials are the nerve impulses generated, these transport neural information to the muscles, eventually causing the muscle fibers to contract. The connective tissue at the joint draws the bone into movement along the designated pathway dictated by the skeletal structure as the muscle contracts. This could be flexion, rotation, pronation and supination, or lateral sliding (Healthyliving.azcentral.com, 2017).

The Neuromuscular junction uses synapses to connect the muscular system with the muscular system. A nerve impulse is sent from the brain down to the motor neuron by way of the axon. Acetylcholine is released after the vesicles break open. Sodium channels are opened from Acetylcholine that bonds to the Acetylcholine receptors. Depolarization happens when Acetylcholine causes an area of the muscle fiber to become a little more positive when it leaves the nerve and docks on receptors in the muscle membrane. Large amounts of Na+ ions enter the muscle fiber because channels open after depolarization, and an action potential then spreads throughout the muscle fiber. The thick and thin filaments of the muscle fiber can then contract…

When our forefathers drafted the constitution in 1787, it was just a mere four years after the Revolutionary War. They were victorious but at a great cost. With this new foundation they would replace the broken Articles of Confederation. Additionally, they would finally have the beginnings to concrete laws and to a better Government for their new country. The Legislative Branch is the most influential Branch in our government. It has the power to declare war and to overrule a presidential veto. Just these two powers alone almost completely make the Executive Branch powerless. The Legislative Branch can also impeach Judges from the Judicial Branch as well as control the national budget.…

Osteoporosis is a disease of bones that leads to an increased risk of fracture. In osteoporosis, the bone mineral density (BMD) is reduced, bone microarchitecture deteriorates, and the amount and variety of proteins in bones are altered. Osteoporosis can cause severe back pain, hip fracture, and loss of mobility. It is very damaging to the vertebrae and can lead to needing spinal surgery. Age is an independent risk factor for the development of Osteoporosis and the prevalent rises drastically with age. (Jen Hyashi) Osteoporosis thins the bones and makes them weak and fragile. The effects in the everyday life of a thin white 84-year old woman may be critical. A minor fall can cause a fracture since the bones become so thin and have low bone density.…

Osteoporosis is a bone disease that can get worse with time. Your bones become fragile due to losing bone mineral density and bone mass. People do not realize this disease is occurring because they cannot feel their bones becoming weaker ("What is osteoporosis," 2011). Osteoporosis is most likely caused by three imbalances in the human body. Cause number one is a low magnesium/high calcium ratio. Cause number two is your female/male hormone is low. The skeletal system is made up of 206 bones and connective tissues such as cartilage, ligaments and tendons. The system is often described as the framework of the human body around which the entire body is built because without it the body would fall in a heap. The skeletal structure is divided into two different groups called the axial skeleton, which consist of 80 bones, and the appendicular skeleton that is composed of 126 bones in your lower body.…
