Many of the unauthorized and uninsured immigrants do work in dangerous and high risk environments. In that case, there are high chances
that uninsured immigrants will seek more of the preventive and primary healthcare services. They have been reported to account for a significant number of sick individuals in the emergency rooms around the country (Capps, 2014).
Implications for Stakeholders
The Medicaid has had millions of Americans who have subscribed to it. Many immigrants utilize healthcare insurance benefits. States have had to devise ways to provide health insurance cover to illegal immigrants. Poor coordination issues have led to poor quality of service issues and poor health service outcomes. Dual enrollees for the Medicaid – Medicare programs will receive benefits for both programs. Stakeholders need to seek for strong political will and support for the Medicaid program (Medicaid, 2015; Capps, 2014; NILC, 2014).
