The Responsibility Analysis Of Apple Inc.
INTRODUCTION Over the last few decades, corporations’ focus has been progressively shifted from solely profits making towards the impacts on the society, it has been highly demanded for them to give a greater contribution for the society along with the environment (Clarke 2004). Apple Inc. is ranked 1st as the 2016 world’s most valuable brands (Forbes 2016). The corporation was established in 1976 by Stephen Wozniak, Ronald Wayne and Steve Jobs (Forbes 2016). It produces and markets digital devices, professional applications and software (Forbes 2016). In 2016, the company has more than half a million workers around the world (Apple 2016a).

In the operation process as an enormous technology company, Apple consumes lots of energy. To make sure that the energy consuming does not damage the environment, Apple’s goal is to use 100% renewable energy on its productions, data centers and electricity usage (Apple 2016b, p.5). Furthermore, Apple also removes toxic materials from its products and manufacturing process (Apple 2016b, p.4).
