The Rhetorical Analysis Project: Fahad

The Rhetorical Analysis Project gave us a good chance to learn and apply many skills. We did this project as a group me and my colleague Fahad. At the beginning point, we studied the concept of this project then we selected our two sources, it was an article and a chosen video. Fahad summarized the first source and I did the second one. After that we discussed and analyzed deeply both sources. Our analysis covers all aspects of these sources: rhetorical situation, strategies of arguments, rhetorical appeals, tone …etc. In the second part we shared a pre-discussion handout with our class mates and created a PowerPoint presentation. After that we organized a discussion session with our colleagues in the class, they participated actively
and their notes and analysis were extremely valuable. As a nature of any discussion there were differences in some views, which represent a healthy and succeed discussion. At the end we presented our own analysis which reflected our thoughts and point of views. At the end a lot of points swimming in my mind, it is very difficult to express all of them. But I could start with great thanks to my friend Fahad who worked hard with me. All thanks to our instructor Salma, she gave a valuable direction and thoughts in this projects. And the thanks continue to all or class mate, they became a part from the project success by joining in the final and important discussion. If we get a new chance to do a similar project we will try to expand the sources, and we will make some field referendums to get more voices in our discussion from audience. Another additional point will be the expansion of discussion session: time, materials and audience members.
