Failure to do so can effect the mission drastically. it can hinder even small parts, in which case can turn into something more important. In this essay, I will, hopefully, be able to explain the importance of all of the listed above in the folllowing paragraphs, as well as a way to adhere to the "Army Standards."

When orders are not followed it leads to chaos and undisciplined soldiers, the lack of following orders only shows to the outside world that the ARMY as a whole cannot operate as one. There are 3 main topics on why it is very important to follow orders in the army. 1. The act of not following orders could result in injury or death, getting into trouble and eventually getting kicked out of the ARMY, 2. obeying orders will help u stay focused, and 3. In order to be successful in any career one must be able to listen and take to heart the importance of what they are learning and doing throughout their lives; this has significance in both the military and civilian life. In order to do that you must follow whatever your superiors say, like when you are at your civilian job and your boss tells you to clean the bathroom. You have to be able to just do what you’re told so the job gets done, and you are also seen as a trustworthy employee. On the military side, it is self discipline. When an Non commissioned officer tells you to get something done there should be absolutely no argument or thought about it. The soldier has an easy job; A. Listen to what he is told, B. Be at the right place at the right time in the right uniform. It is important to do so so the mission goes as planned.…

In this we have learned that complacency has no part in the Army and that the only thing to do is strive to excel in all ways as a group for the benefit of the people we serve which by definition makes us a profession. I think this and the shared experiences is what makes us as a profession stand apart because the trust between ourselves and that which the American people place in us. Another unique characteristics of the Army is the dual character of the Army in that on one side we are a profession and on the other we are a department. This unique recipe gives flexibility and allows for change in an ever changing world. “The Army itself was founded on 14th June 1776 but was later adopted as a military department under the constitution in 1789”. (ADRP-1) So the hierarchical bureaucratic foundation was placed into being which is common and understandable because structure is required of any organization to survive time and change. The Army of that time was not a Profession of Arms in the mind set and way as it is today. It took many decades before the Army built itself into a dual character organization which now faces a new and challenging future in developing professional soldiers while catering to the needs of the American people. I think the Army has the right mindset in that we need to build on ourselves as a profession but also not lose to becoming a…

How to wear the army uniform is important because when we put on the uniform we don’t just represent ourselves but the army as a whole as well. One thing I have learned in my short 20 years of life is how important the clothes you wear impact you as person. Because they can be tell tell sings of what type of person you are. As in the book “APPERANCES” witch talks about how the clothes you wear can say a lot of what type of person you are, or how do you live your lifestyle. When I was a little boy I would always watch how a few of my neighbors, which were in…

By consistently doing the right thing and showing no favoritism we improve ourselves, our fellow soldiers, and the Army as a whole. Integrity improves everyone by making sure that everyone can expect equal treatment and not fear a mistake or a supervisor’s mood. We improve ourselves by building pride in doing what is right and overcoming obstacles whether they be pear pressure or just fear. We also build a reputation that will last a lifetime and reinforce the personal courage to do what we feel is right. Our fellow soldiers are improved because they know what to expect and do not have to worry will I be destroyed because he was in a bad mood or will I get off easy because he likes me. Integrity also improves the moral of soldiers knowing that their fellow soldiers will do right thing and take care of each other no matter how hard that is. The Army is improved because the general character of soldiers is increased and we do not force good soldiers to quite or become bad soldiers because they grew fed-up with arbitrary and inconsistent decisions.…

Another good point, everyone wearing the same uniform makes it hard for the enemy to count how many soldiers are attacking. If everyone is different it is easy to distinguish individuals and therefore easier to count them. If we all look the same it makes it very hard to count us because we nearly blend together. The uniform is designed to soften the outline of the human body and they will easily miscount soldiers. Also, there is a reason we have an a SOP for our full battle rattle, everything is in the same spot so it will be easy and quick to find a wounded soldiers IFAK or other supplies. In a combat situation speed and efficiency is critical. Another example is safety, we all wear our armor plates and kevlars (even patches) in specific way because its is the most effective way to wear them. Being an individual or thinking you are special in this situation could cost you your life. Finally for camaflouge, DUH! What dumbass would wear their PTs to a combat mission?…
