The spread of Christianity within the Roman empire changed the way people viewed their existence. Romans begun to change there views from a once polytheistic view that only physical matter was important to a world beyond physical matter. Christianity lead a desire to connect with the “other world”, because it gave them a sense of worth; it helped guide them in their lives and many hoped to meet their friends and worshippers there one day. This creed balanced the separation between the divine entities; God “the Father”, “the Son” and the “Holy ghost” as supreme beings. During the creed Easter was also established, to celebrate Christ Resurrection. This creed begin to transform Rome even more and churches begin to uprise in 312 CE. These large churches where built for worship and became the new urban public forums. Constantine begun to change roman life but it wasn’t until Theodosius the Great that the Roman empire become fully engulfed in Christianity. Theodosius the Great ruled from 379 to 395 and was the first emperor to decree that all citizens should be christians. During his rule he removed bishops from the Christian church and replaced many of the official throughout the emperor with catholic christians. Catholic churches begin to uprise and laws begin to be set upon the churches. Theodosius would go down in history as the last emperor to rule over the east and west
