In Act One Reverend Parris, Abigail Williams, Betty Parris, John Proctor and Reverend Hale are introduced and brought to life. During Act One Reverend Parris Questions Abigail about being in the woods and summoning the devil or doing witchcraft. Abigail lies and says, that

Cheever also comes to the Proctor house and sees the poppet and tells Elizabeth that Abigail got stuck with a needle in the same spot a needle was found in the poppet. Elizabeth was hauled off to jail. Giles and Francis come to the Proctor house to tell John how their wives were taken to jail for count of witch craft.
In Act Three, Giles wants to prove his wife is innocent, but Judge Hathorne won’t let him present his evidence. John brings Mary into the court to tell the judge that Mary owns the doll and put the needle in the doll. Mary says that Abigail saw her put the needle in the poppet and that Abigail and the other girls are lying about the witchcraft and seeing spirits and the devil.
The judge brings the girls out to see if they will also tell the truth and say that they were lying.
Abigail lies and say that Mary is lying. After a little bit Abigail and the other girls mimic Mary and say that she is sending her spirit and attacking them through a bird. After being frustrated
Mary says that John told her to say everything and that he sent his spirit to make her. Mary apologizes to Abigail for harming her. John admits his affair with Abigail and says his wife
