faith. Also, God is who a believer can fall to in their weakness. The books of wisdom, display the weakness and fall of man through the life of Job. Also through following certain wise things from writers such as David and Solomon. These people gave advice on what to do, because they knew believers were weak and sinful.
Through the books of prophecy, it becomes obvious to the sin nature and weakness of the Israelites and their enemies.
Overall, the books of Prophecy show how great God is for bringing the Israelites through their current struggles. God is glorified throughout the books of prophecy and all things work together for his good.
The historical books of the New Testament, Matthew through Acts, explain Christ coming to the earth and him starting the Church. Throughout his days on the earth he focused on glorifying God. One of the ways Christ glorified God the Father was through healing the sick and people who were “sin sick.” He revealed the authority and power he had over the weakness within human beings. In Acts, Christ reveals the gift of the Holy Spirit and explains his duty as a helper to the believer.
The epistles of the New Testament ultimately reveal how the Holy Spirit worked in the local church, and how the Holy Spirit glorified God through the lives of Believers. The weakness of the Corinthians church was overcome by the power of the Holy Spirit, and the church turned and glorified God because of The Holy Spirit. The Colossian church battled the problems of multiple external religious factors, and the weakness of man was revealed through their conflict. But once the church put off the things of the world and placed the new self of Christ on them, they glorified God. In 1 Peter, Peter addresses those in Asia Minor and reminds them that this earth is not a believer’s eternal
home. He makes a call for holy living, recognizing that this can only be done through the Holy Spirit because we as humans are weak.
The final apocalyptic book of Revelation reveals the second coming of Christ and the ultimate victory over this earth. John writes about how holy God is and through his vision of God on the throne. At the end of Revelation, God is glorified and the weakness of man is put to an end. God is the greatest being to ever be and God was glorified through it all.
