Simon Bolivar changed the social hierarchy, which reshaped the world socially after the imperialism. Simon Bolivar sent a letter to the Congress of Angostura talking about how South America did not belong to the natives. He said that the Spanish have no right to control the land because they are not Natives and have their own nation. The people did not fit into any category, and did not like the social hierarchy triangle. Simon Bolivar wrote, “As our role has always been strictly passive and political existence nil, we find that our quest for liberty is now even more difficult of accomplishment; for us, having been placed in a state lower than slavery...” (Bolivar). He said the conditions the people in South America lived in were worse than slavery due to them not having freedom and not to having control over their own land.
