The Rookie
The Rookie Everyone all over the world is affected by many different kinds of texts endlessly every single day. Whether it is a newspaper, a television show, songs, pictures, pretty much anything really. Personally, I have always loved movies. Since childhood I have loved watching any kind of movie. As a result of seeing many various films it would be expected that they have impacted me in some way. One specific movie that changed my life in a significant way was The Rookie. This movie taught me multiple lessons as a kid including to never give up in life, always have something to dream about, hold on to your dreams, and to practice what you preach. Besides the point that the movie The Rookie taught me many lessons fairly early in life, it also had an impact on what I wanted to do when I grew up. After seeing the movie all I wanted was to become a professional baseball player. I had already been playing the sport but then I really wanted to succeed and take it seriously. In the back of my head I have always had the dream of someday playing in the major leagues. This might be a pretty unreasonable goal but I can dream whatever I want.
In life, I believe it is important to have something that you can strive for and dream about. Having dreams also gives hope, which is imperative in this journey we call life. If we all have something to work towards, then I believe it will keep us working hard and keep us driven. An example in my own life used to be to be a baseball player. After I messed up my shoulder meaning I couldn’t play anymore that dream simply wasn’t possible. Now I just have different dreams and aspirations. I want to be an accountant and then to move on to bigger and more major business ventures. This hope can keep me working hard to get to where I want to be and to have hope that I will make it.
From the movie The Rookie, I also came away with the lesson of never giving up. Going along with not giving up on your dreams, is not letting life get you

Not too long ago, the dream to me was being successful, which means having money. I figured, in order to be successful, money and wealth were not only necessary, but the primary factor. That isn’t too far from society’s classic version, which relies on money for each step of the path; school, a house, kids, etc. As I grew however, so did my view on the American Dream. My own version has become more realistic as I have become not only more knowledgeable about what I truly need, but also about what I truly want and what could make me happy. Although money and having financial success is helpful in creating a comfortable life without having to worry about debt, living a healthy and fulfilled life should be all that matters to one’s dream, not materialistic things like houses and…

Hope is always there for a person when it is needed. All they have to do is find the hope inside them. When a person finds that hope, he or she can accomplish the impossible. Still, when there is no hope inside someone, but people around him have hope, it helps him or her receive that hope, which helps that person achieve recovery or a dream. Even when hope is not so strong, just that little bit can help a person pull through, by helping others get well or giving a momentum, such as a ring, to bring someone’s spirits up. Hope can allow a person to create something like a traffic jam in order to achieve a goal. A person can be successful after so many years of failure because of the hope that lingers inside of him to make something great. Having hope forces a person not to give up. It is what helps keep people alive and gives them something to strive for. With hope, there is a reason to keep on trying and a reason never to give up. It is the belief that things will be better and inspires people to move on. With hope, dreams stay alive and make better…

It says it’s important because if you have too big dreams like being a professional sports player or dancer you won’t have a successful life. This statement isn't true because if you dream big goals, you can continue to try to obtain them. If you give up it will never happen. In Dream big but be Realistic for a Successful life, it says: “While it is important to have high standards and lofty goals, they need to be realistic to avoid disappointment.” This is not the case because those dreams will push you to try harder. In Mr. Ferris and His Wheel, George has an amazing and huge dream to build a giant wheel that will be better than the Eiffel tower. This proves that being a dreamer can help you think bigger and motivate…

I was raised with the beliefs that there is an importance of having security in all aspects of life, whether that is financial, physical, or emotional. These were, and still are, the ultimate objectives I have for myself and every action I take and have taken has been formed around this sentiment. My parents taught me that “dreams are the touchstones of our character” and that it is important to dream big while remaining clear on goals and realistic with decisions. On the path to deciding my future, their advice remains with me and assists in establishing myself in the goals that I have set.…
