The Roswell Incident
What was the Roswell incident? There are many speculations as to what it really was. Some say UFO. Some people brush it off and don't really care. Then some people say it was just a weather balloon. There are many theories as to what it is. But which one is right? In 1947, unidentifiable debris were discovered in a sheep pasture in Roswell, New Mexico. The local Air Force simply said that it was just a weather balloon. But, many other people disagreed, and thought it was remains from and extraterrestrial flying saucer. July 8, of that year, "RAAF Captures Flying Saucer on Ranch in Roswell Region," was the top story in the Roswell Daily Record. The next day, an Air Force official staed that the "flying saucer" was merely just a weather balloon.But, anyone who saw the news article and pictures of the debris, it's clear that whatever it was, it was not a weather balloon, for sure. Some believed and some still do, that the UFO didn't come from Earth at all. Some believe the debris were from an alien spaceship.

One in paticular that seemed interesting was in an articale titled, "What Really Happened at Roswell" by Kal K. Korff. The first few sentences of his article are, "According to much widely held public opinion, the United States government successfully recovered the remains of a crashed UFO along with its extraterrestrial occupants near Roswell, New Mexico, in July 1947. In what is now known as the “the Roswell incident,” the U.S. military is said to have quickly covered up the affair and continues to shroud it in extreme secrecy even today" (Korff). He is stating that it was a government cover up. That it was possibly, truly an alien spaceship, and that the government overed it up, to stop panic, and since it was during the Cold War, to keep their secrets safe from Russia.
