The Secret Life Of Esther Adorns
God bestowed gifts to a lady who was hidden. The name Esther means “hidden” or “to hide”. She was hidden amongst the Persians to conceal her Jewish faith and heritage; she became their Queen. Esther was an orphan, raised by relatives; she had no father or mother but had a people whom she would help save from destruction. Esther gifted by God with gifts or traits that would help her become queen and endure the trials of the Queen of Persia, could either let her people be mercilessly slaughtered or save them. She and her people faced death but were spared as well as saved. A Jew in a time of persecution became Queen of a vast empire. The story of Esther adorns the pages of the Old Testament as a testament to God’s forever presence and guidance in the lives of His people and the gifts and choices He gives them. Esther is a part of the Old Testament that showcases the hallowed traits of a woman who faces the reality before her as Queen of Persia, and it illustrates how these traits can be displayed in one's own life. As Esther faced Haman and petitioned the king for the safety of herself and the Jews. She took the courage given to her by God to ask for the feasts and face the man who wanted to kill not only her cousin, her people, but unknowingly wanted to kill her. She showed the courage given unto her many times besides these. Esther entered the court of Persia as a Jew hidden amongst the gentiles and her enemies. As queen, she faced possible execution when she entered the throne room uninvited. Esther took the chance knowing it was necessary for the survival of all Jews in the land ruled by the Persian Empire.
