I believe that the structure used in "The Secret Life of Walter Mitty" was the descriptive structure because it describes what Mr. Mitty's life could have been like if he had done something different. For example, the daydreams of being in the military and flying planes. The structure in "Gumption" is compare and contrast because the entire story is Clara naming the differences between the Oysters and Sylvester. For example, the story starts off with her talking about Sylvester needing gumption and comparing Mr. Oyster to him showing Sylvester what having gumption looks like.
