The Rule of thirds is where the focuses of the scene are lined with the guide lines and their intersection points. The use of the rule of thirds draws the viewers eyes to see all parts of the composition.
When it comes to film composition refers to how the scene is framed and how the elements of the scene appear in that frame. When telling a visual story through film it is very important to consider the idea of composition.
