Similar to what you did with the Revenue Cycle, I want you to prepare a bridge working paper for the audit of Apollo Shoes as of December 31, 2007, listing the major errors that could occur in the purchasing system and to describe the test of controls procedures for auditing related purchasing controls to determine whether reliable control exists. I don’t think that Apollo has enough purchase transactions that we need to rely on the controls (in other words, we’ll look at them all), but we need to document our finding for our 404 work:…

The analogy of the shoemaking bench as a body is evident in this passage in order to demonstrate how Mr. Lorry and Miss Pross destroying Dr. Manette’s precious thing emphasizes the deep sensation of guilt created within them. Although the doctor agrees to have his bench and tools demolished, they still didn’t feel right about doing so. That was because it was the doctor’s only escape from his imprisonment, however it was also a supporter of his relapse, so it had to be done. Both Mr. Lorry and Miss Pross are very moral characters, thus, incinerating the bench to them was like, “the burning of the body (previously reduced to pieces convenient for the purpose) was commenced without delay in the kitchen fire” (188). Having the bench compared…

Recently, I was in the market for a pair of dress shoes or at least business casual shoes which is an interesting ordeal. So I shopped around the local stores and department stores ranging from DSW to Shoe Carnival. I finally settled on Rack Room Shoes. Now the normal price for the shoes which I was looking for ranged between fifty to a hundred dollars depending upon the brand or style. The reason I ultimately settled upon Rack Room Shoes was cost and quantity. Rack Room Shoes at the time was running a special sale on their shoes where I could get two pairs of shoes for the price of one. This struck me as an excellent deal because I wanted to buy both a black and a brown pair of dress shoes. So I was able to purchase both pairs of shoes for…

Many American consumers purchase items and use things everyday that they have no idea how they were made or where they came from nor do they care. Why should they have to care how the item was made or anything about it? To care about something can simply mean to feel concern or interest for it. I think many Americans care about the working conditions of the factory workers that our creating our consumer goods such as shoes. But they only care about it in the sense of feeling concern or interest in it. Caring in this sense I believe does not help at all solve the problem of terrible working conditions of factory workers. Therefore it doesn't…
