The Sight of Beauty
The Sight of Beauty

I was walking on the beach right before the sunset, searching for a good spot to fish. I stop and gaze at the ocean. The waves, ever so gracefully crashing on the beach, a picture perfect moment. Perhaps moments were you feel worthy of being alive, seeing the beauty that Mother Nature has to offer. Seeing what the world has to offer of life. ***
I came back from school, tired and exaughested. I just had a very big and difficult examination that I did not do so well on. The agony of getting a below average grade when everybody got an above average grade. It is a feeling that is a very negative one.
When I came out of school I had to study for another important test. In my mind, I’m thinking how all the world has to offer is difficulty in life, and if it’s not difficulty, then its agony and self-consciousness. Hopefully I will get a sufficient grade to please my parents’ expectations.
To refresh my mind, I take a short walk on the beach with a fishing pole in one hand. As I was walking, I see people stop and gaze at the water, taking pictures. These people also had a fishing pole, and fishermen are usually on a task, to catch fish and bring home a nice dinner to enjoy with their family. But these people are stopped dead in their tracks by a sight. What was this sight about? Maybe it was a big school of fish, but as I looked, it was something better.
It was a sight of beauty. The beauty of the ocean, the sunset, and how the waves in the ocean were not rough white caps, but calm and beautiful. The waves crashing on the surf ever so gracefully, as if it was moving in a balletic. Then a thought hit me, of what the world has to offer me. It’s not always difficulty in life, or agony or self-consciousness, but it offers you life, and the beauty of nature. Yes, the world offers you some challenges and difficulty, but it’s only a small price to pay to see

I dreaded the alarm that woke me up at 6:30 in the morning. It was as loud as a screaming toddler that could be heard for miles. I groggily got out of bed and got ready for my first day of school. It was a weird feeling not putting on a uniform like I had been for the past nine years, but I also enjoyed that freedom. The nervousness became more and more intense as I could closer and closer to campus. When we arrived, I got out of the car, and watched my dad drive off to go take my younger sister to school. There was no going back now; I had no other choice than to walk through those doors. I felt like my throat was in my stomach. I noticed some familiar faces, and I walked towards them. While I was approaching my friends, a senior, facing toward me, walked passed. He must have been at least six feet tall, which was incredibly intimidating for me at just over five feet. I was not used to the fact that I’d potentially have classes with these giants. Additionally, the array of new teachers, and having to learn all of their teaching styles and things they did or did not tolerate was hard in…

Joe wanted to have her all to himself and was very controlling of what Janie could and could not do. Tea Cake however, loved Janie’s appearance and could not wait to show everyone, who he was able to get married too.…

Positive emotion from being in school would be your satisfaction on completion of a course. You give yourself the emotion of complete success. Today is perhaps one of the most important days of my life. It is the day I take my placement exam that determines which major you will be put into at the higher learning institution. Shakily I finish getting dressed for the day, I am adorned in a pair of navy pants and a grey button up with the number 84 on the cuff. Each year the society gives a number to every child born. I was the 84th child of the year so that is the number I was assigned, many of my other classmates have number ranging from 20 to over 200. I slip out of my room and jog to the end of my hall barely catching the last lift to the 97th floor where the test is administered. Not everyone gets invited to secondary school, for 75% of the world primary is the end, they didn’t pass, and would be taught trade jobs with little opportunity for advancement. Due to this pressure of the test looms over me and the memory of leaving my mother and family take over my mind almost daily.…

But I still had the mentality that no matter how hard I had to work or how long it took, that I was going to get it done and have it done at the standard I wanted it to. My freshman year I specifically remember in my English class that when I was writing papers that I would go and have them checked a million times and I still did not feel confident about them. I would always ask what I could do to bring my grade up because that was the class that I struggled the most with and had the lowest grade in. I spent long gruesome nights fighting to stay awake finishing homework late at night or after games and I remember it being so stressful. The best feeling is when you put so much time and effort into something and having a good result come out of it.…

"Beauty is in the eye of the beholder" is a good statement. Beauty can be found all over the place, it's just a matter of what someone determines is visually pleasing to them.…

Throughout my life school had always come easy to me. I had always gotten straight A's and never had to worry about studying for tests. This all changed when I entered high school and I faced the reality that I was actually going to have to study and spend time on schoolwork. I remember sitting there that whole winter break after receiving the exam grades and thinking about how bad the rest of high school was going to be. At the same time, marketing plays a crucial part in facilitating success and sales growth because a good marketing is able to communicate right message of the product to the consumers and give them reasons to purchase it and subsequently generate call-to-action by informing the target market how or where to get the product (Kotler, 2003).…
