The Similarities And Differences Of Presidents Trump And Barack Obama
Since the birth of America, the American people have been lead by men who put well-being the American people first. For over 225 years America has seen fearless leaders who guide selflessly, and leaders who can be called ‘restrained’ and cautious. The last two leaders of America have both been a first of their kind. Former President Barack Obama made history as the first black president and gave hope to equality driven Americans everywhere. Current President Donald Trump is a new breed of leader. He is an ‘everyday citizen’, except he does own and run one of the largest real estate businesses in the world, who has experienced firsthand the flaws within the American government. Both men have done, or are in the process of doing, wonderful things for America aside from political party differences, background differences, and differences in opinion for the role of government. Idealogically they are opposites, but in intent they are alike. President Trump is not as liked as Obama because he is very outspoken, straight forward, blunt and bit rude. President Obama was strong, well-spoken, graceful in mannerisms, and the American people felt like he was relatable. With social policy President Trump is in favor of cutting programs back to help the national debt as well as getting people back to work so they no longer rely on the government. President Obama was more in favor of building social welfare programs up despite the toll on the American economy and government budget. Trump is a small government guy. He does not believe the government has a place in the personal lives of Americans because Americans have freedoms provided by the Constitution that allow them to do as they please. President Obama is all about regulations, and the government being involved in Americans personal lives even if it invades their

Obama and Reagan’s position in the United States both started during hard economic times. While Reagans term was during the inflation period, Obama also addressed the weak economy he was faced with when he took office. These presidents have different views and ideas of how government works and how much government should be involved in citizens personal lives. Reagan believed that the United States was “a nation that has a government – not the other way around.” He strongly believed that the government should only do what the people wanted it to and that the citizens of America granted it its power to do so, as he restated, “all of us need to be reminded that the Federal Government did not create the states; the states created the Federal…

There are constant debates on why did the South lose the Civil War. The Civil War ended 150 years ago but that has not affected historians to question the outcome of the war for the Confederacy. According to Gary Gallagher, many historians work backward starting from Appomattox to explain the failure of the war. He continues by stating that those historians claim the reasoning for the failure was caused by the lack will to win the war by the Confederates. Gary Gallagher disagrees with these methods historians use. Gary Gallagher believes that the best way to understand why the Confederates lost the Civil War takes a different approach. This is Gary W. Gallagher’s thesis in his The Confederate War is “Why did so many Confederates fight for so long? Until this question receives the detailed attention long accorded the first, the history of the Confederacy will remain imperfectly understood” (17).…

When I was first asked to Vote it was an easy choice for me. I was picking Donald Trump. He was a business man that could help America financially and could take us out of the national debt. However, the more I looked at Donald Trump and the way his outlook on things were, I started to notice that maybe he is not a good fit for our president. Based on the way he wants to face the issues of education, foreign policy, and immigration, compared to Hilary Clinton and her way to face the issues it is clear to me now that Hilary Clinton is a better choice for presidential office than Donald Trump.…

As of Tuesday, January 21, 2009, President Barack Obama has proven to me that it is no longer a theory that I can be whatever I aspire to be. President Obama has the desire to see every individual in this nation succeed, and is charismatic enough to draw people together to achieve this goal by running the country, which is a beneficial need for all of us. Yet, President Obama and his wife Michelle have African ancestors like me. They also look like me, sound like me, and understand my experiences as a black American, and this is the point that I believe many black Americans wanted this nation to understand. This is the first time in my life that I feel like an American, and am proud to be an American.…

He put us on a fundamentally different path because the country was ready for it,” said President Obama. When Obama left the office he was bashed by President Trump and other activist for the mess he left behind. Obama should have not been blamed for this, because for every issues he left behind he could not finish due to not having the power. Being the President means al decisions are passed down from Congress for a input and then a guidance to the world of the president's opinion. With so many issue happening in the U.S and non U.S issues, I’m surprised Obama had time to spend with his family. Obama still prioritized the items he did not finish, he just did not meet the goal people expected him off.…
