The Similarities Between Egyptian And Russian Cinderella
Did you know that Cinderella stories have been passed down from generation to generation? Fitting perfectly with each country's religion and with that beliefs!
The bond between unlikely stories tell generations history! With that the religion fits together like a puzzle! The Egyptian and Russian Cinderella’s magic helpers fit the exact religion upon those beliefs are more similar than you might think!

The Magic Helper represents Russia’s beliefs in spirits or gods. The story tells me that they probably believe that certain spirits, good spirits, will help good people in need like Cinderella. She would be dead if it wasn’t for the spirit of her mother helping her get the food out of the ashes. And the poor girl `stayed at home and wept. She

It shows the history in pyramids and other myths and legends of egypt, how they believe in gods that will guide, help, and punish. The god Horus came down from the sky as a falcon and took her slipper. Then she started to cry. When the falcon reached the pharaoh, he gave the pharaoh the slipper. Since it was bright he thought it was a scrap of the sun. Then he realized it was a gift and said, “All the gods and goddesses give us pharaohs something so we know who’s the perfect wife for us.” (The Egyptian Cinderella. New York: Harper Collins Children's, 1989. Web.)

The magic helper in the Egyptian version is pretty much the same as the Russian Cinderella, except instead of spirits, its gods. The author most likely wanted the same thing as the author of the Russian Cinderella. For Egypt to have their own tale.

I think the Russian and Egyptian Cinderella’s are more alike than they seem. I think ,personally, that the Egyptian and Russian Cinderella’s have the same type of magic helper and belief. That gods and spirits do indeed exist, let alone magic! I hope, reader, that by reading this, you see the similarities too. Can you relate any other stories to

Generations of children around the world have heard the story Cinderella countless times, however most people are unaware of the multiple versions of this legend. The European version of Cinderella ,“Aschenputtel” written by the Grimm Brothers consists of the female protagonist being treated as a servant, yet somehow manages to leave her cruel family behind for her Prince whom she lives happily ever after with. Another version of Cinderella is the Native American tale “The Algonquin Cinderella”, where the female protagonist is also mistreated by her family, however she is fortunate enough to “find” her own prince in her village. Although both stories present similar morals, both vary in details such as characters, settings, and use of magic.…

Maria Tatar, in “An Introduction to Fairy Tales”, and Catherine Orenstein, in “Fairy Tales and a Dose of Reality” both show similarities in their work by showing lessons, lies and fantasies, and showing how a story is told. They both refer back to the same main points and show similarity. Tatar and Orenstein are alike in their articles because of the same points they are making towards parents controlling children in fairy tales and real life. In Charles Perrault 's "Cinderella", there is magic and music. This French version appears to have been written for royalty. The King 's Ball, the fairy godmother, all of the actors and actions come together to create a peaceful and harmonious conclusion. Cinderella 's forgiveness following her family 's cruelty allows for a "happily ever after" ending for Cinderella, as well as her sisters; this is a story befitting royalty. The glass slippers are only something attainable with great wealth; therefore, the audience can better comprehend the majesty of it all.…

It shows the way King Narmer ruled over his disciples, led his kingdom uniting his people along with Lower Egypt’s. Which made them stronger against their adversaries. The audience might have had a reaction of wow, considering Egypt wasn’t a dark demented country, but they weren’t the warmest of people. To see King Narmer uniting the two kingdoms together for the good of his people is quite different. Usually, a king would just go to war and take over the place, instead of marrying into the kingdom. The creator could have expected the audience to rejoice in knowing that King Narmer did something for the good of the people, and now new possibilities were available. Also, showing their mark in the world and the impact that the uniting of the two kingdoms had on Egypt as a…

In Perrault’s version, Cinderella was forbidden to attend the royal ball, yet in Disney’s allowed her, but only after completing tasks that her evil stepmother thought would be impossible. Concerning the royal ball, Perrault’s version of the event was over two-night period, while Disney’s version was only one night. I believe Disney minimized this to ignore Perrault’s more realistic and self-sufficient character that disobeyed not once, but twice in order to seek her own happiness. In contrast, Disney chose to enhance Cinderella’s reaction with a more love-stricken bliss as she daydreams while humming to the song that she and Prince Charming sang together “So this is love…” (Geronimi, Luske, & Jackson, 1950). During the slipper scene of Disney’s Cinderella, the evil stepmother attempted to destroy Cinderella’s destiny by locking her in her room and going so far as to trip the Grand Duke causing him to drop the glass slipper. Disney created suspense and made viewers think that Cinderella may not live “happily ever after”, after…

“Why, Grandmother, what big teeth you have!” Almost anyone would recognize those words addressed to the big bad wolf in the fairy tale” Little Red Riding Hood,” just as most people would also recognize “Bibbidi-Bobbidi-Boo” as the words of the fairy godmother from “Cinderella.” What most people may not realize, however, is that although “Cinderella” and” Little Red Riding Hood” are both fairy tales often read to children as bedtime stories, “Cinderella” is actually a much better fairy tale because of the description of the main character, the kind of conflict involved, and the theme of that particular story.…

When I think about fairy tales, the stories that first come to mind are Cinderella, Snow White, and Beauty and the Beast. I think of these stories and books as products of Walt Disney, and assumed that to be their place of origin. The Disney Spell is that Walt Disney made it so that when you think of certain fairy tales, you automatically think of him. Thus, eliminating the true origin of those fairy tales. After going through this reading, I realized that I was one of the victims under the Disney Spell. Walt Disney concentrated on these fairy tales because of their “rags to riches” story lines, and those stories reminded him of his own upbringing. But he altered them in a way that appealed more to his American audience, which I believe is…

Most Americans could say that they have at least heard of Cinderella and her fairy godmother. In the German Version of Cinderella, “Aschenputtel,” there is no Fairy godmother. In “Aschenputtel,” Cinderella’s mother tells her “Dear child, remain pious and good, and then our dear God will always protect you, and I will look down on you from heaven and be near you." Later in the story Cinderella asks her father to bring home the first twig that brushes his hat. When given the twig Cinderella takes it to her mother’s grave and it grows into a magnificent tree. Cinderella then prays under the tree and pigeons and turtledoves bring Cinderella anything she wishes. These birds represent Cinderella’s mother’s spirit watching over her poor daughter. Animals, such as birds and mice, also appear in the Disney classic, but are more aides then guardians to Cinderella. These animals are introduced as humorous instead of saviors in the Disney version. The animals help her clean the house and do chores. Later on they also are transformed into steeds and drivers to take Cinderella to the ball. These differences give each story its lighter and darker feelings and dynamics affecting the readers’ emotions towards the animals and Cinderella.…

My thoughts on the story Rashin Coatie were encouraging. I found that this story had the same general theme of the Cinderella story that I had read as a child. This story is fiction, meaning not true, but it was very well written. The plot was very similar to the original Cinderella version. In the Cinderella I read, a King loses his wife and he has a young girl who is very beautiful. The…
