The Sistine Chapel

The Sistine Chapel falls under painting in the categories. Michelangelo painted the Sistine Chapel in al fresco and gold. I can tell because he painted on plaster walls for the Pope. Michelangelo painted the Sistine Chapel will bright colors when he first started to paint it but after the years it started to fade into the plaster walls. The paint in blended perfectly, in some of the paintings like at ‘David Slays Goliath’ you can see contrast but to see the painting more clearly. Some of the paint colors means something like purity or faithfulness. Michelangelo blended the paintings amzingly but he also found a way to make the paint abstract and realistic. The Sistine Chapel is not “real” in a sence but painted like it was happening. The
Sistine Chapel is abstrace to because everything that is drawn on the Chapel pops out at you. The art that was sucessfull on telling the story of the Old Testament.
Michelangelo paints the storys on the wall and the roof of the Chapel. Michelangelo paints what is descibed in the Old Testament. The emotion I feel while looking at this is more of a boring feeling. I like the painting because it has history behind it. Michelangelo did something he hated and wasnt good at. It has a bright but also this dull feel with it. It’s something you dont feel with other paintings. It’s this sad but power story writen in a book but was able to be painted and shown to the world. Something new that I had discovered about this painting is that someone who couldnt paint did something so well, brings people all over the world to see. Thats powerful work, that is telling a even more powerful story. This artwork is something more that just a painting done. Its a story telling lifes of other and the feelings of other, holding the faith of others. It is powerful thing to look at. When it is was first painted it was bright and well driven into the wall. Over the years it has gone dull but with even more history put on it even with the story its telling. The painting expresses the old testament with power. If I had any questions these would be my

Those are just the questions, nothing simple or hard. Michelangelo was born March 6, 1475 and died Febuary 18, 1564.
Michelangelo lifed a normal life and did sculpters not paintings. Michelangelo had for brothers and both his parents. Florence's Humanist Academy is where michelangelo went to school. Michelangelo is best know for the Statue of David which is relistic smooth statue of david, The Sistine Chapel, and The creation of adem that is drawn on the Sisitine chapel. The Sistine chapel was started on 1508 and was finished on 1512. This art work was created for the Pope even those Michelangelo didnt paint. It is made of of Al Fresco on the plaster wall. The Sistine Chapel is in Vaction City and is able to be seen by the public. The history of this piece of painting is that it was made a long time ago for the Pope and to tell the srory of the Old Testament. The Sistine Chapel has faded over time and the City of Vaction own it for a terrist actration. The Sistine Chapel tells us a lot of things about that time period that hasent changed over years and years. Michelagelo had to do something he didnt like and we still have to do things we dont like or cant do. The clothing shown on the Chapel shows what they are wearing in the time or what the story says. The way its shown is powerful for us to understand. The Sistine Chapel is painted in such a way and with gold that you can tell that michelaneglo was wealthy doing the time.
