People used to use rotary dial desk telephones, but now, starting from age five, almost everyone has a wireless cell phone. Every year there are new inventions and new technologies are being made to make people's lives easier. In the future there might be flying cars. You can never imagine what is about to happen in the future. People from old age wouldn’t even believe what has happened so far until this generation. In “The Six Epochs,” Ray Kurzweil explains six stages of human lives. He talks about how the world was before, is now, and will be in the future. Also, the singularity will begin and it will spread all over the world. In the future, Kurzweil believe, humans and technologies will become one. Technologies will pick up many skills human perform throughout the day to survive.
For instance, computers will be able to combine the traditional strengths of human intelligence. They will be able to master all the human skills and perform them without getting tired. Also multiple computers will have the power to become one and separate again. In “Meet Your iBrain: How Technology Changes the Way We Think,” Gary Small and Gigi Vorgan argue that people have changed in response to the use of technologies. Humans focus so much on technologies that they are forgetting social skills and losing touch with real people. Also people’s brains get really tired when they stare at the computer screen for too long. Although small and Vorgan think new technologies are kind of negatively affecting humans ability because they shouldn’t lose their humanity, Kurzweil on the other hand would support those ideas because they align with his theories about
