As stated in the USA Today suicide is the sixth leading cause of death in the America. Every thirteen minutes, another suicide is occurring. Many factors lead up to someone committing suicide. Someone may start out with depression, get bullied, feel unwanted, be psychotic or any number of things could be going on in their lives (USA Today). Does this mean that they should be taking themselves out of this world to be freed from the pain? Some people may argue that suicide is not the answer, but have they ever been is the shoes of someone in that situation? In Macbeth by William Shakespeare, Lady Macbeth felt so much guilt for taking part in Duncan’s death that she could not stand to live with herself. After giving Macbeth a plan to kill Duncan and telling him Bear welcome in your hand, your tongue. She could have been stopped by the doctor or the gentlewoman, but they just stood by and watched Lady Macbeth saying how insane she looked. The doctor stated What is it she does now? Look how she rubs her hands. When they saw this they knew something suspicious was going on. Then Lady Macbeth says, Yet here is a spot as she looks at her perfectly clean hands. Later she says, Here’s the smell of the blood still. All the perfumes of Arabia will not sweeten this little hand. O,O,O! When the doctor and gentlewoman see that Lady Macbeth is talking about all of this crazy stuff with her hands they should know something is up, but they just leave her be. Eventually the blood and death of Duncan’s murder is just too much for Lady Macbeth to handle. Since the doctor and Gentlewoman do not take action to help her, she eventually kills
