The Song Born This Way
Music is the one universal thing that makes people feel every emotion from happiness and anger to sadness and love. In every song ever written there is a story being told. I have always wondered what a soundtrack of my life would reveal. Although I cannot realistically have a song playing every time I experience an emotion, I have some songs that have stuck with me during significant events in my life that could be featured on a soundtrack illustrating my life. The song “Born this way” by Lady Gaga is very relatable. The song quotes “I’m beautiful in my way cause God makes no mistake , I’m on the right track baby I was born this way”. Growing up as a adolescent in this country was hard for me as my home country has different

My life sounds like a lot of things, the sound of my kitten making strange noises because she doesn’t meow, the sound of my brothers chasing each other up the stairs, and the sound of my entire family having dinner at my house for a special occasion. But, those aren’t the only sounds. I have grown up in a household where music has always existed. In every car ride there was always music. That's what I remember most about my childhood, is the music that we listened too. There were memories that had nothing to do with them of course, but there are many small memories that are centered around a certain song that we'd all dance and sing to. The song itself isn't what's special, it's the memories that go along with it.…

Bruce Springsteen hides the message he wants to get across by having an upbeat song that repeats “Born in the U.S.A.”. With the rollicking rhythm, enthusiastic chorus, and patriotic album cover, it is easy to think this has more to do with American pride than Vietnam shame. He gets the real message across in his music video. The camera is focused on his mouth and for me it made me listen to the truth behind the lyrics not just the upbeat rhythm of the song. Another way Springsteen gets his message across is the clips he used in the music video. The clips made you think of the hidden message Springsteen was trying to show.…

As a little girl I wanted to be just like Hannah Montana. As I got older, I wanted to be like Rachel Berry, a small town girl living out a big town dream. I wanted to be looked up to because of my musical talent. Walking into Mrs. Kaiser's 7th hour, 8th grade band, I didn't know that music would have such an impact in my life. Music has become the spark of my intellectual curiosity. There are millions of combinations of key signatures, chords, melodies and rhythm in the world of music just waiting to become attached to a sheet of staff lines and spaces. Ever since my first experience with music in the fourth grade, my mind began to explore all these combinations of problems. Music helped me with math, english and gave me a place to escape when I was put into undesirable situations. In Middle…

Dick Clark once said, ¨Music is the soundtrack of your life.¨ Music is one of the most powerful and influential things in my life. Without the melodies and harmonies of music, my life would feel bland and meaningless. I have a very busy schedule and sometimes it is too easy to lose meaning in my everyday tasks, but with music I am able to keep meaning in my life. I use music to get me through the activities of my everyday life. Whether it is cleaning my room, doing homework, or just relaxing, music makes everything better. I think that music can convey feelings and emotions extraordinarily well. When words cannot do the job, music can. Along with that, I think that music accompanies memories very well also. Going back to Dick Clark’s quote, I think I would be able to make a timeline of my life just using song titles, albums, and…

For my song I picked Garth Brooks “The River.” I consider this song to be very meaningful. This song is about chasing your dreams and never giving up on what you believe in, reminding us that life is shorter than we think and if we just stand on the shore watching the river go by, then life will be gone before we know it. Garth Brooks uses a lot of psychological concepts in this song, such as, Attitude, Affect, Motivation, Optimism, and Behavior. Garth Brooks says, “A dream is like a river.” A dream changes, just like a river changes. As life changes, the river can be calm then strong then calm again, so our path in life change. Garth Brooks says that “He will sail his vessel until the river runs dry.” To me this mean no matter what life throws…

If my life were a soundtrack, then on December 5, 2001, at 4:38 am, the first song would have started being recorded. I believe that my soundtrack shows a pretty wide variety of music because my life is made up of a bunch of crazy little elements. There are a few musical theater songs in my soundtrack because I believe that the songs from these productions have the best themes of all. The theme for my life soundtrack is to be yourself and it’s based on my second favorite quote by Dr. Seuss, “Why fit in when you were born to stand out!” So, let me entertain you with my life, because if it’s not interesting, it’s at least a little bit funny.…

In some way music shows who you are in some way, shape, or form, just like in, The Hobbit, where you can find out what a character is like from hearing their very own music. The dwarves made you want to go somewhere, with their in detail perspectives of the mountains. Then the elves, who seemed to be upbeat most of the time, but did everything they could to show hate to the dwarves and their beards. After that you run into the all so evil goblins, who despised absolutely everyone but their own kind, and sang about how they would traumatise…

When thinking about the soundtrack for my life, the songs and lyrics that would best suit my life story, unfold before my eyes. Starting with a song by the Judds, titled Grandpa; reminding me of my early childhood, in which my grandfather was the biggest influence on my life. The lyrics of this song reflects what he had endeavored to teach me. He taught me right from wrong and about keeping promises. There were many occasions he would tell stories of his experiences to impress upon me valuable life lessons. Most important of all he taught me to love myself and others; that love was an important part of life and not something you throw away. He raised me until the age of eight years old; as my parents were wrapped up in the lifestyle not suitable…

    My Theme Song

A theme song that I chose for myself was Some Things Never Change by Foesum. Whenever I play this song I usually feel two emotions: joy and sadness. The sadness comes from not being able to see friends from high school as much as I was used to. The joy comes from knowing although we do not see each other as much we will always be there for each other. This song was a part of my life growing up in high school, all my friends listened to the same genre of music called G-Funk. Whenever this song comes up on my music player I remember the good times I had with my friends. The lyrics in the chorus go: Some things never change, ain't it strange? How things just remain the same. The meaning behind this chorus is that no matter where life takes you, there are some things about that will never change about yourself. My favorite verse comes in the beginning and it was by MNMsta and it goes:…
