A stereotype is a generalised idea of a group. Every group of individuals is stereotyped. We all see that in terms of gender, skin colour, religion or country. We can all relate to that. If you think about it, there are many stereotyped groups but gender has been the main issue nowadays.

The first example is the most common: women. The idea of females being weaker than men has been adapted many years ago. We can tell how women are stereotyped into being a housewife or a person whose aim is to satisfy her husband.
