The Strength In Eddie Aikau's Life
Eddie Aikau touches lots of people's hearts around the world today because of his mana and way of touching others hearts from what he has done over his lifetime. Eddie's legacy is shared to lots encouraging surfers and future surfers to follow in his steps. Eddie Aikau's strength has been exhibited through what he did best shredding enormous waves on his surfboard at Oahu's North Shore. Not only was his strength exhibited while he surfed but it was as well shown when he was with others. Eddie was the type of guy who would sacrifice his life just to save the life of others and he did when he was on the Hokulea in 1978 when the ship capsized he went and looked for help but was sadly never seen again. Aikau was said to be a wonderful person you would never forget because of his care and love for others he had known and met. He has shown the aloha spirit so fittingly he made tourist keep wanting to come back to the islands. He exhibited a powerful way to resolve any problem to accomplish a goal whether it was while surfing, adventuring, or making someone feel welcomed and capable of doing anything they put their minds to. Aikau has made a tremendous impact on the word because of his story that inspired others such as the surfer Kelly Slater and I. Inspiring everyone to reach to their highest potential and to accomplish what they thought was impossible. Eddie was the best one out of his hometown but wasn't quite the best worldwide but he didn't brag about it or started trouble with others he competed with. Through his spirit he teaches everyone to be humble while we do what we do best and to reach places we never thought we could ever reach even when there is people thought to better.

The knowledge that Eddie Aikau has spread didn't only change his life but my life as well along with a bunch of others. From what he has done in his lifetime he had inspired me to try to be a better version of myself day after day. Inspiring me to become one with what I do like Eddie was one with the ocean.     The Independence of Eddie Rose starts in a house on Indian reservation. The very first things we get see is the destructive house hold that Eddie Rose, his mother Katherine Rose, and little sister Theia live in. It is early in the morning and Katherine has just finished yelling and kicking out her boyfriend Lenny Sharb. After which Eddie is left alone with his mother where they get into a bit of an argument and Katherine tries to kiss Eddie. Katherine upset that Eddie did not want her goes to her room. Aunt Thelma comes over then we see Eddie packing a sack of food. Thelma told Eddie that he was lucky that he was getting to go to school, explained to him that she and Katherine never had that chance. At that point Eddie asked Aunt Thelma to take Theia while he was gone because he could not be there to protect her. At this time Theia is left alone with her mother and Aunt Thelma. Katherine gets aggressive with Theia and Thelma tells her to stop, we also learn Telma had a son, but he was taken away. At this time we see Eddie leave his sack out side by his grandmother’s grave. Eddie goes to visit his friend Mike Horse who is in jail, waiting for his mother to pick him up. Sam the guard that works there is a pedophile and has been bribing people for sexual favors. Mike is so scared of Sam that he plans and escape with Eddie from the jail. Then we see a scene with Eddie, Theia and Aunt Thelma. In this scene Eddie promises to Theia that Thelma will take her even though Thelma has not agreed, scene ends with Eddie back at the graveyard. After Eddie gets high, his Aunt Thelma comes and teaches him how to deal with problems with a ritual her and Katherine used as girls. Eddie comes home and Lenny is back and Eddie tells his mother he is going to call the cops, so he runs to get help.
