The Strength In Jack London's Call Of The Wild

In the novella, Call of the Wild, Jack London’s story shows the importance of Buck’s strength in the wilderness, the trait that ultimately saves his life. Buck is stolen from his luxurious life in Santa Clara and thrown into the treacherous wilderness, a completely new environment. Buck must learn to adjust to this different lifestyle, and he quickly learns the skill of dog sledding, and “his development (or retrogression) was rapid.
