Westing or even figure out who Sam Westing is. They each get $10,000 to start of with and a clue as well. An example of a clkjue is: Sea Mountain Am O. ‘It is through the characters that the themes of a novel come to life.’ Without characters the author would not be able to expand on the themes and provide depth into the novel. There would be no emotion in the novel and it would not be interesting to read. ‘A Bridge to Wiseman’s cove,’ by James Maloney, uses characters such as Carl, Harley and Justine to make the novel come to life through the themes of friendship, abandonment and support.…
A scene that I disagree on was how Adam handled the situation of getting into the ICU to see how Mia was doing. What Adam did was he and Kim came up with a plan to try and sneak into the ICU by distracting the nurse and security grads. In my opinion what should have been done was since only family members were allowed to visit her Adam could have asked to be watched at all times during the visit by the security grads.A short passage from the book that I found meaningful was when Adam came inside to see Mia; he tried to help her with the decision of staying or leaving. This short passage was significant to me because it led to the development of the theme, love could never be broken apart no matter what the situation is, it will always be there. With the love and support that her boyfriend Adam gave her it made her more…

The cultural values of race and class are prevalent in the gameplay of World of Warcraft. To avoid gamer oppression, the online game has created unrealistic races and classes for each of the characters. Players can enjoy gameplay without having to choose between human races, such as White Caucasian or African American. Both of these factions have different mythical characters that users of the game can pick from ("World of Warcraft.”). Ultimately, these factions are comparable to the character’s race. Additionally, in World of Warcraft, class is the primary adventuring style of a player character that is decided upon a character’s faction or race.…

The main motive for the Pardoner was money. Money was his main concern. He didn’t care about the people or their salvation. All he wanted was to improve his economic status, and live his life in riches. He did anything to gain money. In the end of his sermons he would always remind people there was a feed for salvation by saying “Come forth, Sir Host, and offer first right now, And kiss then each and every relic. How? For just a groat! Unbuckle now your purse" (Chaucer). All these things pointed out the corruption of the Catholic Church, and how the Pardoner’s sell of indulgences were used for…
