The Symbolism Of Lucifer In Greek Myth
Lucifer is the sun; he is the one who guides us while he is the one who is influenced by his bride Esther, the moon. She is the yin and he is the yang.

Esther, the moon, is the Queen of the Night; Esther means star. Lucifer means the morning star, the sun.

The moon represents purity. Lucifer admires purity. He does not enjoy perverseness. It is humanity that is perverse not the Dark Lord. If one chooses to be perverse, he does not care, that is your choice, but leave his name out of it. His wife Esther is the perfect example of purity; she epitomizes it.

Lucifer is the "bringer of light"; the god of knowledge.

As the sun, Lucifer represents clarity. He opens our eyes to the truth. He teaches us not to be stupid, not to fall victim to self-deceit, and to not lack perspective.

The night symbolizes death. Satan is the Grim Reaper, Hades, Set,...Satan is Death. Death is not always something negative. The Death Tarot card represents endings but also beginnings, change, transformation, and transition.

Dawn suggests the notions of illumination and hope. In the story of Esther and Lucifer, she represents the dawn and he represents darkness. It was Esther (the moon) that transformed/influenced Lucifer (the sun). and the result was a renewed passion. A love unlike any other.

"A love that will never die."

“Night” focuses on how evil is born when darkness rises. In the first stanza the speaker reveals that the day is ending and night is beginning. The moon and the sun are personified when the speaker says “the sun descending in the west” and “sits and smiles on the night.” Throughout the beginning of the poem the speaker’s tone is comforting. For example, he mentions “warm, sleep, and bed”; then towards the end of the poem the tone changes drastically. William Blake is famous for mentioning a guardian angel in his poems, and he does so in the second stanza.…

He wants to destroy all men and take control over the man’s family. So, he (the devil) encourages compromise over courage. He wants to see men distracted by the “gusto” a man gets after a slightly chilled draft; by advocating pride over obedience; by whispering deceit into the man’s ear, such as; “your Pastor will never know that your mission trip is the cover-up for an excursion with your assistant ministry leader (your wife’s sister). Further, the devil puts his hands over your eyes and leads you to destruction. He enjoys men abusing their positions as ministry leaders. So he (the devil) is satisfied when a ministry…

<br>This evil is evident in the right wing of The Garden of Earthy Delights, which can be used to portray scenes from almost all of Dante's circles of Hell. Fire is seen in much of the painting, which can be symbolic of death. Fire is one of the only elements man can create so fire can also be seen as a symbol of mortality. Virgil said, "I come to lead you to the other shore, into eternal darkness, ice, and fire." (Canto III: line 87) This quote shows the connection of fire and Hell. Fire can also be representative of the Holy Spirit and this relates to Dante who ties religion into the Inferno. Fire is the background of much of the top of the painting. Virgil said, "Eternal fire burns within, giving off the reddish glow you see diffused throughout this lower Hell." (VII: 73-75)…
