rational When residents and tourists look around St Kitts, there are so many derelict buildings that sewed as a reminder of king sugar, the ones that Mainstay of many if not all Caribbean islands economy. However, there is one particular factory ruin that the researcher always past on her way to and from school. Often she wondered if it was not possible to save this industry that gave her island its name, “sugar city”. The writer was much surprised when the topic failure of the B.W.I sugar came up in class as part of her C.S.E.C studies. She then decided that this was form the basis of investigation for her history SBA. The writer strongly believes that it was neglect on the constant use of outdated technology that led to the ultimate demise of sugar across the region and she intends to highlight this via SBA. The research hopes that at the end of her study she would have satisfied her curiosity to fell the gap in her education. It is also hopes that this SBA can be used as a guide to other students and the history department at her
