The Termites To Frighted Negi Analysis
1. Mami used the attack of the termites to frighten Negi making her think it was a punishment. So, maybe Mami is harsh wanting to frighted Negi. If Mami would have said that the termites attacked because she was not behaving right and because it was on purpose Negi would have believed her. Which can mean that Negi believed most of what Mami said and was scared,

2. I think the reason she included this in the story because she wanted to see other readers perspective. Also, maybe she wanted to share how her childhood was like.

3. I think as a child, she did consider the attack to be a punishment but now as an adault she does not consider the attack as a punishements. Maybe because now she thinks that Mami could not have planned the termites

Abstract: In the content of the Module 2 we learned about Diffusion across cell membranes. We touched on the different types of cells and their functions. How things are transported in and out of cells. Learning about isotonic, hypertonic and even hypotonic solution. This is not my first time touching on this subject in my nursing career and I learned a way to remember what happens in the different solutions. This project was to see which solution was able to pass through the semi permeable membrane. I came to the conclusion that as we learned in this module some molecules are too large to pass through membranes and some are some are small enough to pass…

While Nea and Sourdi were working at their family’s restaurant, several male customers become drunk and obnoxious. When one of the men begins making rude gestures and remarks to Sourdi, Nea takes it upon her to “save” her older sister. Nea decided in that moment that she needed to do something drastic in order to complete her rescue mission, so she took a pairing knife and stabbed the man in his arm with the intentions of killing him. All Nea cared about was her sister’s safety, she didn’t think of the consequences nor did she expect to be wrong for her heroic behavior. “’I was trying to protect you,’ I said through my tears. ‘I was trying to save you’” (Chai, 2001). Nea didn’t understand why she was being punished for trying to protect her sister, she believed that she did right. This shows how loyal Nea is to her older sister and how she can be possessive at times. “I was glad I’d stabbed that man. I was crying only because life was so unfair”…

Her care and concern for her family is apparent throughout the whole book because of this constant pushing. An example is when Ma hurries them out of the comfortable Weedpatch government camp. Though the living conditions there were filled with toilets, showers, and hospitable people, Ma knew the Joad family could not stay there anymore while there was no work to be found. When Pa tells Ma that the reason the men don't like looking for work is because they know they won't find any, Ma replies fiercely, “You ain't got the right to get discouraged. This here fambly's goin' under. You jus' ain't got the right.” When she says “This here fambly's goin' under,” it can be understood that her main concern is the family. The men finally begin discussing where to drive to and Ma interrupts saying, “Well, we got to git goin', and goin' quick. I ain't a-settin' here no longer, no matter how nice.” This quote is important because it shows that Ma puts the family before her own happiness because she was comfortable living in the government camp, but knew the family would not survive. She pushes them to leave the camp immediately that night, in hopes of finding work to sustain them. Another scene in the book where Ma pushes her family towards better conditions is when they are at the peach camp. Ma knows that they cannot stay there because the low wages are barely enough…

She keeps asking herself the question ' am I an evil person.' Her friend tell her that she had to do it or her friends may have been killed and that makes her wonder 'is evil a human invention.' If this was the animal kingdom and she was a lioness and a hyena was trying to eat her cubs there is no doubt that the lioness would fight the hyena. That again would not be evil in reality, in reality that would be…

The narrator’s descriptions of Mrs. Margolin represented her as a very dull, and trusting woman who is easily fooled and not strict. Mrs. Margolin is so immersed in her biblical acronyms that she believes that her troop members are all good girls, allowing for girls like Arnetta to easily fool Mrs. Margolin. This is shown as the narrator states “Arnetta always made a point of listening to Mrs. Margolin’s religious talk and giving her what she wanted to hear”(39) Furthermore, Mrs. Hedy, Octavia’s mother is the chaperone of the Troop, however it is shown as that she rarely cares as she has unchecked marital problems with her husband. The narrator states that “When Octavia’s mother wasn’t giving bored, parochial orders, she sniffled continuously, mourning an imminent divorce from her husband”(44). According to umaine.edu, Respect is a two Way Street in which both participants, the adult and child, must actively participate to get any respect from each other. This is exactly what isn’t happening with Mrs. Hedy and Mrs. Margolin and her troop. Since the children no longer fear their adults, nor had any respect for them, it was easy for the troop members to dismiss their authority, and blatantly lie and deceive them. This lack of respect given by the group of girls, coupled with the ignorance of adults fosters the growth of racism within the troop, as the group easily lies to the adults about their whereabouts, like when Arnetta states, “I handled them… I told her we was going to gather leaves”(42). These girls are also further shaped by the society they happen to live in. The narrator Snot states that “When you live in the south suburbs of Atlanta, it was easy to forget about whites. Whites were like those baby pigeons: real and existing, but rarely seen or thought about”(40). They never really had that much interaction with…

Ancient Greece was not a melting pot of religion. The people were more unified than the common American might understand. The people of Athens, as well as the rest of Ancient Greece, built the foundation of their lives on the Acropolis and their mythology, however, instead of it simply being a means of religion, it was a means of culture.…
