Course Description
This course will introduce students to development theory and practice in the South and in Canada, with particular reference to Atlantic Canada. During the fall term, the course will focus on the international context to provide students with a critical framework they can use to analyze development policies, programs, trends, and impacts. Students will explore the concepts of social and economic justice as they are linked to development. Some references will be made to the Antigonish Movement.
