The Trap
Title + author: I’ve red a book called The Trap and it was written by a author called John Smecler.
The plot: The story is about a man called Albert Last Weasel who gets trapped in his own steel trap out that he had set out to catch beers in the woods. You get to follow him and his struggle to survive. You also get to follow his grandson Jimmy Last Weasel and his family who stands for a choice to make. Should the go look for him or will he return to them?
The story takes place in the Alaskan cold. The book doesn’t mention a certain year but they have snowmobiles so it’s probably not a late century.
This book is an adventure book, it’s very eventful. In some parts there are some action as well, for example when he needs to fight of the wolves.
In the book there is one part that is really important. It’s in the middle of the book when Albert is running through his memories in the past. Then you get a better view about the Indians and their lifestyle. It makes you understand how tight the Indians are bound to the wild. They live like one with the nature.
The events in the book are more external then internal. Some are internal like when he is struggling with himself to live. He needs to stay calm and really think before his actions otherwise he might die. But the most of the events are external. There is a man, stuck in the nature with no able to contact anyone. He gets attacked by animals and needs to struggle to survive.
The characters: The main character is Albert Last Weasel. He is a man with dark long hair and a whisper of a black mustache. His beard has a hint of black and gray colors. His face is marked by deep scars and wrinkles. Albert is a calm man and with a lot of courage. He never gets hectic, he always keeps calm and focused. He seems like a very nice and kind man. You also get to follow his grandson Jimmy. He has long dark hair and looks very much alike his grandfather just a bit less wrinkles and scars.
Albert is my favorite character

Hedges and Sacco begin the book by discussing Whiteclay, a small incorporated village in Nebraska. The clients that come to Whiteclay primarily for alcohol are Native Americans from Pine Ridge, a reservation that is located in South Dakota. Hedges and Sacco were able to direct my attention into the lives of those in the Pine Ridge reservation by describing the problems with alcoholism and poverty that they face. Using the example of Long Wolf, they really gave me a feel for the hardships that Native Americans faced among their families. For Verlyn Long Wolf, her childhood experiences were dictated by physical, verbal, and sexual abuse. It upsets me that a girl has to go through such hardships at a young age. It was really striking that she was married and divorced around seven times and that all of them were abusive, except for one. The authors linked the vivid descriptions of rape and abuse back to the tragic history of white conquest. I think what really stood out to me about the Native Americans was when Hedges and Sacco talked about the Smithsonian museum…

One of King's primary purposes for writing this book was to have its reader empathize with the boy and girl. He wanted you to take a walk in the little boy and girl's shoes. He wanted to let the reader see firsthand what struggles African-Americans had to conquer. He wanted his readers to swim into the deep crevices of the past to see what history books left out. He wanted to arouse his reader's minds, so they could indulge themselves into what he had to say and see that African- Americans helped build our nation despite trying circumstances.…

As the establishments of our fledgling federation initiated at the launch of the 20th century, the inhabitants in Australia lived and worked in a society that the government interfered little in, known as the "laissez-faire" policy. This also meant that individuals were left to look after themselves, as they had no protection from the government as we do now, for example Medicare and insurance. Life in the early years of federation was quite different in comparison to our own community now more than a hundred years later. At the time it was the era of massive changes in technology and improvements in quality of life and health but there were still many lives of the poorer members of society that were left unchanged. Luxury was certainly one of the many absent desires of the working class people.…

Written by James Patterson, Pop Goes The Weasel is about a Washington D.C. police officer Alex Cross, who is trying to catch the most explosive and dangerous serial killer he has ever faced. If there is something to be learned from this book, it is that looks can be deceiving. This is because the killer in the novel also leads a normal life as a British ambassador with a wife and two kids. Pop Goes The Weasel is an exciting thriller full of imagery, irony, and foreshadowing that keeps you on the edge of your seat until you turn the final page.…

The story centers around four characters who live in a Maze and the changes with which they must wrangle. The characters are two mice, Sniff and Scurry, and two so-called Littlepeople (creatures the size of mice but who look and act like people today) named Hem and Haw. The plot is pretty simple. The four characters find a large cache of cheese and can live their lives without much variation: get up, go to the cheese, eat, go home, and start over the next day. This works out okay until one day the cheese is gone. Then the characters must deal with the new situation.…

    1. Martha and the trap-ease investors believe they face a once in a life time opportunity. With this being said I assume the investors are referring to their ability of growth and profit. Information needed to evaluate this opportunity would be that of their competitors. The investors should see what if any advantage they have in regards to price and product. Also if any competitor is really pushing the “humane” motto. As noted in my outside source the Victor snap trap could be a potential competitor. The group might write their mission statement as “we are making sophisticated mouse traps that trap mice efficiently” I would personally write their mission statement as “to dispose of mice no mess, no clean up use a trap-ease trap”.…

    1. I feel Martha and the Trap-Ease America investors need to do some strategic planning- the process of developing and maintaining a strategic fit between the organization’s goals and capabilities and its changing marketing opportunities. This would set the stage for the rest of the planning. I do not think Martha has done enough research into the market to really assess whether the demand for her product would be there. Martha needs to think about her marketing concept, which is a philosophy that holds that achieving organizational goals depends on knowing the needs and wants of target markets and delivering the desired satisfactions better than competitors do. The group’s mission statement acts as an “invisible hand” that guides people in the organization. To come up with a mission statement one must answer the following questions: What is our business? Who is the customer? What do consumers value? What should our business be? The group’s mission statement would probable read, “To catch the pest, you need the best- Trap-Ease.” They seem to be product-oriented instead of market-oriented. A more appropriate mission statement would be, “Continuously working to better serve your pest elimination needs- safely and humanely.”…
