The True Definition Of Love In Shakespeare's Romeo And Juliet
Love tends to be a term that is thrown around quite often, but isn’t always meant in the correct way. People might say “I love that pizza” or something like that, but they don’t truly mean pizza is my life and I never want to part with it. The word love has a big meaning. Love means when you actually can not part with someone or else your heart will ache forever. The true definition of love is intense affection towards someone. Romeo throws the word love around a lot in this play, claiming he loves the first woman he sees. Romeo does not even personally know the women he claims to be in love with. Friar Lawrence is shocked by Romeos change of love interest in this passage. Romeo seemed to forget about ever loving Rosaline, but earlier he stated
