As the world is slowly evolving added with the rapid expansion of human population and
technology, we can notice over time these actions have caused a massive issues regarding the
amount of waste we create and how we renew, or in other words, recycle or products for
future use. Recycling is very important because it helps to cut back on the amount of landfills
we create and are currently using, it aids the protection of our environments such as reducing
the need for extracting precious materials that can eventually harm our planet, and helps saves
vast amounts of energy that would be increased when dealing with raw materials.
In the U.S American’s use of landfills peaked in the 1980s when it was recorded that we
threw away nearly 150 million tons of trash each year into landfills which is a very staggering
and alarming number compared to our present rate of using landfills. In many areas there is
over abundance of landfills which is causing us to use areas that are far from ideal for garbage
disposal. Recycling helps to combat this issue by choking off the flow of garbage sent to each of
these landfills and by buying recycled products, we can further attack this problem successfully.
If recycling can be done efficiently and effectively throughout the United States we can helped
divert almost 50 millions tons of garbage from entering our landfills which studies say is about
30% of all our population's garbage.
Our environment is a host too many species of animals and owns vast collections of natural
raw materials which have helped greatly in the expansion of human life and creation of
technologies by our hands. However the demand for new products and land has sapped many
of our natural reserves to the point where the damage can be seen locally and
