Giving up your possessions, relinquishing time, befriending a stranger, and moving somewhere new are the dilemmas Noah, Nadia, Ethan, and Julian had faced, respectively.The View from Saturday by E.L. Konigsburg These choices, self proclaimed,¨The Souls¨, had caused new emotions and choices in this coming of age story. Particularly in chapter 5 ,Konigsburg wrote that Mrs.Olinski had been distressed about deciding if adding Hamilton Knapp,a smart but crude boy, onto the academic bowl team was a wise decision or to add Julian Singh. She eventually chose the latter. Due to her choice, this decision impacted the results of the academic bowl children were competing in.
