INTRODUCTION
Water is a very important need in life. Species get water to sustain their lives, water is used domestically and industrially. Water is the most essential compound for Earth’s life in general. Human babies are approximately 75% water and adults are 60% water. Our brain is about 85% water, blood and kidneys are 83% water, muscles are 76% water, and even bones are 22% water. (Dorsner, 2017)
About 70% of Earth’s surface is covered by oceans and approximately half of Earth’s surface is obscured by clouds at any time. There is a very large volume of water on our planet, about 1.4 billion cubic kilometers (km3) (330 million cubic miles) or about 53 billion gallons …show more content…
All these come together to cover about the 70%. Water is very important in all aspects of life and the ocean hosts much of the earth water. The cycle of water can be seen as grounds water discharges into the ocean; the grounds water can be seen as the streams, rivers, snow melts, spring and run off. Human depends on the environment whilst the environment also depends on human. Human actions can either affect the environment positively or negatively. A negatively affected environment also has its consequences on human life. Negatively affected environment contributes to the emergence and reemergence of diseases which places the health of the individuals at risk. Human needs to balance choices considering the environment. We should recognize the use of the environment and the consequences of destroying it. For instance timber is used for many things including books, papers, chairs, beds and so on. This can be seen as the choice of human but when it is all taken away from the environment, the wind can have a devastating effect especially on our buildings, traditional medicines would be affected, the land would be left to the faith of desertification and livestock would be lost. All this emphasizes the importance of preserving the environment by considering our choices and the use of the environmental components. In some parts of the world individuals are left with the choice of making money and destroying natural resources like their water bodies. In the rural communities where there is no portable water individuals have still stood by the choice of extracting minerals from these water bodies; making the water bodies unwholesome for drinking and use for
