The reason I choose Brutus as the Noblest Roman of them all was because he put Rome before his friendship with Caesar. Although it was not an easy decision to assassinate Caesar. I believed that he thought it was the best thing for Rome. As Brutus stabbed Caesar, he was the only person who did it without personal thoughts. Although some choices are tough he knew that sometimes the right choices did not come easy.
Some Weakness Brutus showed in the play Julius Caesar were Brutus sense of honor. This weakness caused him to believe other were as upright and honorable as he was. Therefore it made him a lot easier to be controlled and manipulated into doing things for others. He had the outpouring respect of the Republic as well as its people. He was so loyal to Rome that he would give his own life to benefit city he loved. He was an idealistic but devoted to the Republic. Never the less some of these strengths later on also caused his downfall.
Therefore in conclusion it is my opinion that Brutus was the in fact the Noblest Roman of them all. Although he had a mixture of both strong and weak traits he felt that killing Caesar would be for the good of Rome. He truly was loyal and devoted to his country till the end. Making a decision not for himself but for the people of Rome. That is why I agree when Anthony said that Brutus was the Noblest Roman of them
