“Every day the teens get a comment that embeds in the psyche more and more they start brewing” (DeNoon). Words hurt and people do not realize how much they are affecting someone’s life. The obesity rate in America is very high but no one should have the right to judge someone because of their weight. Our generation is shown what they need to look like instead what they want to (DeNoon). Parents need to take action when they see their teen is getting bullied for their appearance. Teens who unfortunately killed themselves show that they had problems, like different disorders or psychiatric problems (Otsuki, Peterson, Kim). When someone is depressed, they feel like their only option is suicide to end the pain. “Girls cry out for help, while boys are taught to be tough and never to “act like a girl” (Portner 5). Both genders need to be treated equality, if a guy wants to cry and pour their heart out why should people stop them. The reason why teens go on with committing suicide might never be known but we know some reasons.
